HEVC is the future (if used right)
any reason to use x264 this particular time?
one reason id say is to not use HEVC 10-bit 4:4:4

@Geonode Why not? There are some rare cases when chroma is fucked up enough to re-upscale it and encode as 4:4:4. Btw Turing gen cards can decode 444p8/10/12 hevc formats.
