That's the title card on the Blue Bricks of Dragon Ball. The English title cards of the Saga Sets show the Dragon Ball logo on the bottom right.
Plus, Saga Sets had grain while these don't.
There are actually only 5 seasons in this blue brick set. For example Season 1 has the first 31 episodes. Plus the episode numbers on the discs are labeled 1-153 rather than restarting the numbering for every season.
Thank you to whoever uploaded this. I needed another copy of episode 26. The ISO that I got from that 700mb torrent at the following link https://nyaa.si/view/1179137 has a glitch which pauses the video while the audio keeps playing for 30 seconds during the previous episode recap of episode 26. The glitch starts at 1h39m18s and the video starts playing again at 1h39m38s. If anyone has a copy of the ISO or a Video_TS folder of Season 1 disc 4 that doesn't have that glitch, I would appreciate very much if you were to upload it.
Seeing as how this is an Anonymous upload and that Impakt has already mentined that the Saga Sets have grain while these don't. I feel alright posting in these comments that I am currently seeding the Saga Sets uploaded by N12 almost a year ago which has been dead for a while. If anyone needs them, now is the time to get them since others are downloading them and some are at 50%. It will go faster if you download now. I will be seeding for a couple of months since I am grateful I finally got it after 2 months from a very slow seeder for 1-3 hours a day most of the time. My uploading is not fast and slows down when I download, and I cannot seed while I am working but will always be seeding when I am not working. Here is the link. https://nyaa.si/view/1139811
Also if anyone has the GT individual discs torrent from the same uploader N12 at the following link, I would appreciate it very much if you can seed it, and I will seed for at least a few months after that. https://nyaa.si/view/1140048
It's hard to keep torrents alive here when folks hit and run.
Anyway, IMO, the Madman release of Dragon Ball's Saga Sets are better than FUNimation's. I haven't compared the GT Singles of Madman vs FUNi, but may also be the case. Heck, Madman has a DBZ DVD Single episode with video footage not seen on the FUNi DVD, well, the FUNi DVD for that specific episode used Dragon Box instead for whatever reason.
@mrbean
I was the one who uploaded this torrent. The reason for the odd season/episode numbers is because I use a program that fetches data from TV/Movie databases and it will automatically name my files and put them in season folders according to the information it pulls from the database.
I still had all of Season 1 ripped to my hard drive. The magnet URL for Season 1 Disc 4 is:
magnet:?xt=urn:btih:f34a8be4073ed398eb26a67ea6c10331c51e46dc&dn=Dragon%20Ball%20S1%20D4&tr=http%3a%2f%2fnyaa.tracker.wf%3a7777%2fannounce&tr=udp%3a%2f%2fopen.demonii.si%3a1337%2fannounce&tr=udp%3a%2f%2fexplodie.org%3a6969%2fannounce&tr=udp%3a%2f%2ftracker.coppersurfer.tk%3a6969%2fannounce&tr=udp%3a%2f%2ftracker.openbittorrent.com%3a80%2fannounce
I hope linking the magnet here doesn't break any rules; I didn't see any rule prohibiting it and it seemed a bit silly to create a whole new post for just S1D4. Anyways, I hope this helps!
@battousai44
Thanks for the magnet link! I appreciate that a lot.
However it was not what I was looking for and doesn’t fix my problem. I needed either a replacement ISO, or the full VIDEO_TS folder so I can make and ISO out of it. I would have even settled for just the untouched VOB files in the VIDEO_TS folder, but the torrent from that magnet link had all 8 VOB files chopped up into the 35 chapters. If I had the full untouched 1GB VOB files at least, I could rebuild the ISO, or even use a Hex editor to directly modify the ISO I have in order to keep that exact copy ISO and just directly fix the glitch.
I tried to use a hex editor with the glitched 1GB VOB and chapter 22 from your link (which was the previous episode recap where I have the glitch in my copy), but because of the VOB files being cut up into 35 chapters, there are too many differences for me to even try to fix the 1GB VOB file in my ISO using this chapter 22 file and a hex editor. The hex editor search tool isn’t good enough to deal with those differences and show me something I can work with. But at least I now have an unchanged quality copy of that previous episode recap, so I backed up for now.
If anyone else has a replacement ISO or full VIDEO_TS folder, or at least the full VOB files directly from the VIDEO_TS folder that have not been cut up or altered, I would appreciate further help with that. If I can fix the ISO, I will upload it for everyone who downloaded the glitched ISO in that 700GB torrent.
@mrbean
I personally own the physical media. I'm currently at work right now, but I'll work on uploading the full untouched ISO this evening when I get home. The magnet link I provided earlier was leftovers from my hard drive, so I was hoping that would work for you without much more effort on my part.
@battousai44, Thank you so much for making and uploading the ISO! That is really nice of you to go through all that trouble.
I just came back to check the comments and saw you uploaded it 16 hours ago.
I don’t know if you would want to, but I’m sure other people would appreciate if you uploaded this as a torrent to nyaa and included in the info section that it is a replacement for the glitched ISO from the 700MB torrent at https://nyaa.si/view/1179137
I would help you seed it for a month if you were to make a torrent. But I can’t upload any torrents at the moment for a reason I won’t get into.
Hmm, no .MDS or .DVD file…
Boy am I demanding. No problem, I can recreate it even if there is a chance the layer break info may not be exactly the same and some other info can’t be recovered. I actually had to do that for all the other ISO’s I have for the Dragon Ball Blue Bricks since the uploader of that 700MB torrent erased the MDS files. So it would probably bug me more if you uploaded it since I wouldn’t have the original mds files for any of the other discs in the set. My OCD doesn’t like imbalance.
But I’ll still be glad to have it if you feel you want to go through the trouble, considering you still have it. It would have to be the one made by the program when making the ISO from the physical disc. The only way to get the correct info in that file is from the pysical disc, not the ISO. The ISO can only be used to get the layer break and may or may not be the same as the physical disc.
@mrbean
The program I use to generate the ISO file didn't produce a .MDS or .DVD file.
If you have a particular software in mind that can accomplish this task, let me know and I'll see if I can't get my hands on it and oblige your request.
Impakt,
ya .mds seems to be better then .dvd and more common since it may contain more information. The .dvd only has the layer break info, but is in plain text. The MDS file cannot be viewed by any software I am aware of. Which file will be created can depend on the program used. ImgBurn has the option for both, and you can actually create both at the same time when making an ISO.
Here is an example of a torrent here on nyaa that acutally has both .mds and .dvd files as well as .dvdid.xml which is a file that gives media players the info that only a physical disc would have so the player could look up certain info online about the DVD https://nyaa.si/view/1124728
@battousai44, Sorry for taking so long to respond, I could not make the time until now.
Please tell me what program you used to make the ISO file so I can see if there is a way to make the mds file. Maybe you have to manually choose to create an mds file.
Unfortunately if you use another program, the ISO file created by that other program will most likely not be exactly the same and have a different checksum which may change the layer break position in the ISO and create a different MDS file. But if you use the same program and choose to make an mds file while recreating the ISO from the disc, the same ISO file with the same checksum should be made, and then you can upload only the mds file.
I couldn’t ask you to upload yet a third ISO unless you wanted to upload a torrent of it. The ISO you created managed to fix an issue I have with the entire set of my ISO’s where the ISO shows the proper size, but the Video_TS folder shows around 80GB and duplicates each vob file 10 times. It is some sort of strange copy protection feature which you fixed. It would make for a good torrent if one day in the future you felt like uploading the whole set of ISO’s. But I’m not asking for that.
ImgBurn will create an mds file, and is a really good program, but it was last updated in 2013. Although since this DVD was originally released in 2009, there wouldn’t be anything to worry about. The only clean installer download without bloatware that I know of is https://www.techspot.com/downloads/3285-imgburn.html (click on the blue “download now”) or you could get a portable version at https://portableapps.com/node/60735 which uses that same clean installer file to create a portable folder.
Or maybe someone else could recommend something more up to date.
If you try ImgBurn, you could do a checksum of both ISO files to see if they are identical. But most likely not.
Since this is funimation dub is this dual audio with Japanese and English is the Default? I want Japanese voice to be default so no hassle in changing audio before watching.
