### UPDATE (2021.01.08): THIS RELEASE WILL BE REPLACED THIS WEEK, PLEASE HOLD OFF DOWNLOADING UNTIL THE NEW BATCH RELEASE ### **Note (1.12.20):** Episode 176 has a minor audio issue on the JPN DBOX track where it has the first 12 minutes of the next episode added at the end. This doesn't really affect anything other than the episode having a weird runtime. The proper audio track is here in the S06 folder if you want to replace it: https://mega.nz/#F!WJsxFKSI!VIRWxkJGS5Up7t_zbrLN9w *** **Previous releases:** Saiyan Saga (Level Sets) (1-39): [#1145615](https://nyaa.si/view/1145615) Saiyan Saga (Dragon Box) (1-39): [#1150268](https://nyaa.si/view/1150268) Namek Saga (40-74): [#1170280](https://nyaa.si/view/1170280) Freeza Saga (75-107): [#1163555](https://nyaa.si/view/1163555) Android Saga (108-139): [#1182197](https://nyaa.si/view/1182197) Cell Saga (140-165): [#1194180](https://nyaa.si/view/1194180) TV Specials (SP1-SP2): [#1185803](https://nyaa.si/view/1185803) *** **Updates:** Lots of small updates and tweaks this time around, which is part of the reason it took a bit longer than usual to get this out: 1.I have switched BA sources again, this time to the video-synced BA released by Team Mirolo (https://nyaa.si/view/1208556). The video sync make this audio much better and fixes a key problem with anything Dragon Box synced. No additional filters have been applied. 2. I have also used the timings provided by Team Mirolo to re-sync the FUNi/Kikuchi and JPN Dragon Box tracks to the video. The FUNi/Replacement track is less affected by sync issues and was left alone. My custom 2000 FUNi dub track has always been video synced. 3. The insert song ["Unmei no Hi: Tamashii Tai Tamashii"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfyeud94JnQ) was re-inserted into the FUNi/Kikuchi track for episode 184. Due to licensing reasons the song was omitted on the official release. 4. Previous issues regarding ac3 decoding of the 2000 FUNi dub track during my editing process creating inconsistent volume levels throughout episodes has been solved. 5. I tweaked the Faulconer OP for the 2000 FUNi dub track to make the loop flow better and to add the ["flame" SFX](https://youtu.be/LL8F9_CDryI?t=58) that is present during the last shot. 6. On the official single DVDs, Dale Kelly was replaced as narrator for recaps, closing narrations, and NEPs starting gradually with episode 172. I have preserved his original narration by pulling from TV/VHS sources, the quality of which can vary depending on the episode. Due to TV censorship in 4 episodes a few lines of Kyle Hebert's replacement narration are still retained. 7. All English NEPs for these episodes are available and are included on the 2000 FUNi Dub track. 8. Kyle Hebert recorded NEP narrations for the single DVDs on episodes 177, 180, 190, and 194. These narrations have been added to the Remastered track. 9. Subtitles are now sourced from Team Mirolo to better align with the properly synced audio. I converted their SRTs to SSA format and retained similar styling settings as on previous releases. The original SRTs are also included for compatibility. 10. All previously mentioned changes will be applied to my previously released episodes when I release the final batch. *** *These episodes are compiled from the following sources. Unless otherwise noted, I am the original ripper/encoder for all elements:* **Video:** 1. 4x3 480p R2J Dragon Box - *from raw ISOs* **Audio - 5 tracks:** 1. Japanese Mono Tokai Broadcast Audio (FLAC) - *originally released by AnimeMaakuo, retimed by Team Mirolo* 2. English 2008 5.1 FUNimation "Remastered" Dub w/Shunsuke Kikuchi score (AC3) - *from the R1/US Dragon Box, retimed by me based Team Mirolo's video sync* 3. English 2008 2.0 FUNimation “Remastered” Dub w/Smith/Morgan/Faulconer score (AC3) - *from the Orange Bricks* 4. English 2000 2.0 Original FUNimation Dub (AAC) - *custom track from the Single DVDs, with English NEPs and most Dale Kelly narrations from TV/VHS* 5. Japanese 2003 DVD Audio (AC3) - *from the R2J Dragon Box, retimed by me based on Team Mirolo's video sync* **Subtitles - 3 tracks:** 1. English (SSA) - *English Simmons translations video-synced by Team Mirolo and converted to SSA by me* 2. English (SRT) - *Original Team Mirolo sync* 3. English Signs/Songs (SUP) - *from the R1/US Dragon Box* *** Big thanks to Team Mirolo and JySzE for assisting me with re-timing audio to video. [MediaInfo](https://pastebin.com/xNfySY5b)

Sweet, thanks iKaos. Can't wait for future batches
Really appreciate it!
Thanks iKaos, will upload for as long as I can. Keep up the great work!
Thanks, iKaos! :D
Thanks for all your hard work buddy!! Look forward to your future releases.
I'm amazed by what you're doing @iKaos! So much thanks! And redoing the previous releases to make them even better for your final batch with the new Team Mirolo timings is really awesome. Huge thanks to you, Team Mirolo and everyone else who makes this the best and most definitive DBZ release in history!
thank you very much <3
Thank you iKaos! You are a legend! :)
Any chance you'll also encode the Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans from the JP Dragon Box? I mean the original one, not the 2010 remake. The only existing encode is by DBNL and it's horrible quality.
@MrAnon: There is a Pendekar release.

User
@MrAnon yeah I would go with theirs, there's no reason to redo it since they did a good job: https://nyaa.si/view/1019978
Wasn't aware of it, thank you.
Many thanks iKaos, great quality all around. Looking forward to the next batch(es). How many are still left?
Hey, hope you're doing better than I am, iKaos. The complete batch will definitely include the Westwood dub? That's something I'm really looking forward to. I didn't grow up with the dub, but I like it.

Minor error on the JPN DBOX track for episode 176 - read above for info, fix is here: https://mega.nz/#F!WJsxFKSI!VIRWxkJGS5Up7t_zbrLN9w @Kyo28 Only three "seasons" left, next batch will take us up to 219. S8 is 220-253, and S9 is the rest of the way, 254-291. @Impakt Haven't talked to my syncer in awhile but I assume he's still working on it. I'll try and verify soon.
get off orders to a new season, after last week this will be very much enjoyed thank you thank you thank you
Is there something from Pendekar with low seeds that you intend to redo? For example, this: https://nyaa.si/view/1068239 And this: https://nyaa.si/view/1068258

@luigirovatti According to one of his comments, it seems like he'll go back and re-do them soon. I haven't given much thought to the newer movies since modern Dragon Ball isn't really my thing and there's already a fair number of good encodes out there.
Even this has low seeds: https://nyaa.si/view/824188
^ That's sort of normal. It's a public tracker and no consequences when users hit and run.
@luigirovatti theres an entire channel in the discord dedicated to requesting seeders you can try your luck there, if i havent already renamed the files and the tags ill seed it for you but be warned my internets slow as dirt lol
@iKaos hello really enjoying the releases thank you for them but i was wondering if you no where to find the Orange Bricks yes i no they are really bad im just a collector of DBZ releases i have the blurry, level sets, dragonbox JAP and USA im currently downloading the 30 anniversary but i cant find the Orange Bricks on this site and was wondering if u no where to find it if u could help that would be much appreciated keep up the great work

@shadowhunter They've been uploaded here: https://nyaa.si/view/1169398
iKaos How does the audio you used on the first 4 seasons batches compare to this new one? Is the quality better or is it only the sync issue that's better?

iKaos (uploader)

User
@Gnosis Depends on the season and track. I'll try to lay out the differences. 1. JPN BA - all seasons use the same Tokai audio as a base. S1-S4 I synced myself and are video-synced, S5 uses Deli295's audio which is audio-synced but replaces the OP with the BD OP, and S6 is TeamMirolo's and is video-synced and uses the DVD OP and ED. Realistically, outside of the OP and EDs they should all sound the same. 2. English/Kikuchi 5.1 Remastered - only difference is the sync, source and quality are exactly the same. S6 is video-synced. 3. English/Faulconer/Johnson Remastered - no differences outside of the first 8 episodes which are BD sourced due to music variations. 4. OG English Dub - all manually video synced. Obviously S1 and most of S2 are the Saban/Ocean dub, while S3+ are the OG FUNi dub. It is possible some of the FUNi portions of the Saban/Ocean dub are audio-synced and need to be re-timed. For S3-S5 the OG FUNi track has sporadic volume issues which I originally thought were due to an issue with the singles DVDs but have since discovered is an issue related to how various programs decode FUNi's older ac3s. This issue was discovered and fixed for S6. All above issues will be standardized and fixed when I batch release the series after I finish with S9. I do not anticipate any differences between my S6-S9 releases and the eventual batch versions of those episodes.
Ikaos Okay cool I'm actually using my own remuxes and using your audio tracks for them and they seem pretty damn good as they are so thank you! Also I was wondering if you so private jobs for any money?
@ikaos: In your opinion, how good is the following torrent (for example, are the dragon ball (z/gt/movies) isos the best releases out there, is there dual audio, what about compared with yours etc.)? https://nyaa.si/view/1179137 (If you'd like to know what I mean, look this comment in: https://nyaa.si/view/1179137#com-12)

User
@Gnosis I've got a full-time job and barely have enough time for this, so probably not going to happen. Thanks though. @lugirovatti DB, GT, and the movies have been released in better formats, so no those aren't the best available. The audio from the R1 DBOX is what I use in my releases, and the RTD set was used in my S1 and S2 releases.
@iKaos First of all, thank you soo much for your awesome work. 3 questions tho - 1. I want to keep only two audio tracks. One is obviously the Jap broadcast audio. & the other an Eng-dub track, but you have 3 english tracks. Which one would you recommend i should keep? 2. When will you approximately release eps 195-291 ? 3. Are there any other Dual-audio Dragon box releases for dbz like yours? I couldn't find any on nyaa. I could only find Jap audio Dragon box release.

iKaos (uploader)

User
@2DSamurai 1. If you want the Kikuchi (JPN) score with English voices, then keep the 5.1 track. If you want the Replacement (Faulconer) score, then I recommend the 2000 original dub track mostly because of proper sound effects and music placement. Depends on your individual preference which is why I include all of them. 2. I'm current at the rate of one "season" a month unless I get side-tracked, so we're looking at a few months from now for the rest of the series. 3. I originally started this project due to lack of other quality releases, so I doubt it. My audio will sync with any R2J Dragon Box remux if you want something in original quality however.
@iKaos Thanks for the response. Will you be doing the Movies too? If not, can you pls tell me where can i find DB/Z movies in 4:3 AR? I've heard that the R2J DragonBoxes include the movies too. It'd be awesome if i could find the movies in the same Grainy 4:3 format as well. I'm downloading a movie from this https://nyaa.si/view/1145208 to see if this has Grainy 4:3
@2DSamurai, the movies you are downloading are 16:9 and not that "grainy", if you want the movies in 4:3, you need to download the original Funimation DVD singles.

iKaos (uploader)

User
@2DSamurai Those are the newer Toei AMZN remasters and are in 16:9, however they are also the best the movies look right now. Despite being animated in 4:3, the movies were meant to be seen in 16:9 and this is the reason for the cropping. Before 2018 the Dragon Box was the best way to watch the movies but now the remaster surpasses it. As Dexidious said, the FUNi DVDs are the main choice for a 4:3 presentation, although the French AB Groupe masters are better for movies 7-11. I do plan on doing the movies but I'll be using the Toei remasters as my source, so they'll be 16:9.
Ikaos Will you do a english dub sync for the French AB Group masters??

iKaos (uploader)

User
@Gnosis I have little interest in SD 4:3 movies, so probably not. If anything maybe I'll R2J-sync the videos, so you can have whatever audios you want. Who knows.
Wowe that would be cool
hey @IKaos i like these torrents when is the next set coming out the previous sets came out perfect thanks for these man
how do i change my profile icon to put a picture or something thanks anyway
@iKaos, in your SP1 & SP2 release (https://nyaa.si/view/1185803) you used Animax HDTV as the video source. Why didn't you use R2J-Dbox video like your other releases? Is the animax encode better than the dbox version?

iKaos (uploader)

User
@DBZSonic123 My current pace is one batch a month. Next batch should be coming within a week or so. You can change your profile photo by creating a gravatar connected to your account's email address. @2DSamurai My goal is to use the best available video source for my releases, and the two specials have been recently remastered in HD by Toei the same way they did the movies. While the movies have had WEB-DL and Blu-Ray releases, the only place the remastered specials have appeared is on TV, so I used that as a source. While the Trunks special has some of the green tint that plagues modern Japanese DB releases, the quality of both specials is still an upgrade over the Dragon Box versions. For completionists sake I will consider releasing a DBOX version of them in the batch, however.
All your uploads on here are far beyond worthy to be in my 500TB Helium HDD. thanks iKaos have amazing year !
Do you plan on creating encodes which smaller in size alongside these archival encodes?
can anyone explain to me the difference between the subs ? Mirolo, Simmons Translations, OnionEclipse Dubtitles? Also iKaos will they be available for the previous season ?

iKaos (uploader)

User
@Fiddlel If there's demand for it, possibly after the batch. I also wouldn't stop someone else from doing it, too. @LeonVIII Team Mirolo took the official translations done by FUNi translator Steve Simmons and adjusted their timings to be be video-synced to the R2J Dragon Box. I've been using versions of the official subs on all my releases but I decided to start clarifying. OnionEclipse is working on "dubtitles", that is, direct subtitles for the English dub, based on the remastered dub, and I've started including them on the S7 release. As mentioned above, any changes that I make between seasons will be retroactively applied to previous ones when I make the final batch.
