Yuasa kino back on the menu, bros.
Is anime, dare I say it, saved?
Why everyone today is saying "anime saved"? What does it mean?
At the end of every season, anime lies dead, and at the beginning of every season, it is saved. This is the natural cycle.
It's a joke about anime people think are really good (or that are overly praised by mainstream. The joke can be used ironically). Because Yuasa is seen as an exceptional director and someone whose works stand out in a good way from the usual stuff we get.
Yuasa's good. But mainstream is eden :3
unusual animation looks a bit like Kill la kill is it the same studio
Not at all. It's not even the same people. KlK was Trigger. This is Science Saru. Imaishi and Yuasa are quite different, too. Dunno how you think this looks anything like KlK
ah, i see everyone's a noob
...the acid is working.
GJM waiting room @bass I don’t see how you’d have any trouble making the connection there. It’s always reminded me of KLK since I first saw the PV, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Yuasa took some inspiration from it. They’re both school anime with a focus on cliques, weird angles, and unique art styles. There’s also that tall girl that looks like a distant relative of Satsuki. Both use the same general colour palette for backgrounds with a noticeable lack of green. Both have great animation.
Yo dawg. I heard you like anime, so we put anime in your anime, so you can watch anime while u watch anime.
I show is hilarious i love it.
how does it look like klk the digital compositing here is worlds different than the perspective effects they did in klk. not to mention the overall aesthetic of the animation is completely different.
I wouldn’t personally say it “looks” like KLK, but it’s thematically and conceptually similar to KLK (and with a lot of the same good qualities) to a point where I can understand someone relating the two internally or putting them in the same basket the animation direction is completely different but both are stylised and non-shitty is all i’m saying
Hmm... looks original and interesting.
i want more bad truck drivers. those guys really know how to make mainstream stuff
they are feeling bored like us anyway, trying to make a new thing is mainstream today
>thematically and conceptually what
@govno Shut the fuck up, weeb.
Here we go, lads.
Easy, also breezy
