So uh... You know how one of the worst things about being a fan of the Japanese version of the Pokemon anime is having no way to watch most of the early series in English besides 4Kids? TPCi to this day refuses to release official subs and no one ever bothered to fansub most of the classic episodes. FOR AGES we've been complaining about the lack of subtitles for the classic seasons. Well, on this fateful day, just after Christmas, I, some random guy on the internet, bring you some big news: We're all fucking idiots. It turns out English subs for most if not all the episodes have existed this whole time AND NOBODY FUCKING NOTICED! A Malaysian bootleg company called Lambaian Filem has apparently been releasing subbed DVDs for YEARS! I bought the Advanced Battle box set and it says 2013 on it! THESE HAVE BEEN AROUND FOR SIX YEARS AND NO ONE HAS RIPPED THEM YET?! WHAT'S WRONG WITH PEOPLE?! I've found some of the other season boxes for sale too, so I'll release more as I get my hands on them. For now, here's Advanced Battle. Merry Christmas.

Varies, it's really weird. One sentence will be some really well written woolseyism and then the next line is a complete trainwreck. Overall much better than I expected from a bootleg. Also, on the actual DVDs themselves, the subs use an eye cancer inducing red styling. After ripping, it changed to a much more readable white.

Why are there gaps in the episodes? Because fansubs alternatives exist for them?

Thank you for this upload. I have a few quick questions, if you don't mind. First, are you planning to upload the other episodes (before the 93) of this season or are you just going to continue after the 144? Then can you tell me what other seasons they have edited and where I can get their DVDs? And above all, have they released season 1 in Japanese with English subtitles? Thank you for your work, once again!

I plan to release anything that isn't already fansubbed. I assume they released all the seasons, although I haven't been able to find them all. The ones I could find are for sale on this website: https://shopee.com.my/search?keyword=pokemon%20anime%20dvd, but they only seem to have Chinese and English audio versions of season 1, unfortunately...

Thank you for your information! Indeed, the work that has already been done by fans is already excellent on this series (including Pocket Monsters Fansub and Some-Stuffs). For the other seasons that interest me, I will look, thank you very much!

not that it matters, but how's the video quality? friend of mine bought their dvd set for nichijou once and...heavy compressed tv rips and it came with a soundtrack cd for date alive

Not great, but it looks alright. Better than the raws I had for most of Advanced Generation, anyway. Appears to be DVD rips.

Translation quality is a bit meh. It gets the general point across (albeit with HKsubs-tier English) but that's pretty much it. Video quality is pretty sub-par since it's apparent that the encoder has no clue what they're doing.

It would have been awesome to be able to have every Pokemon title available in original audio, with English subs.

I've noticed that not only are episodes missing, but some are corrupted. I know what the problem is and I'll reupload the complete batch once I get it fixed.
