kingofhearts, thank you, but no. By the way "Idol Project" and "Love Live! School Idol Project" is two different franchises with 18 years age gap)
(Part 1 / 2) I'm going to write, copy, and paste this comment for three different torrents because it's THAT important to me, and I am extremely grateful for these! https://nyaa.si/view/1285822 https://nyaa.si/view/1205692 https://nyaa.si/view/1208813 Let me explain as briefly as I can. I first watched this entire anime as soon as it was available with English subtitles, back in the IRC days where you had to manually download anime from individual users that served it directly from their computers. To put it into some perspective, this OVA was released in 1995. (That's 26 years ago since this comment!) When I watched it, I didn't think much of it. It was a crazy, over-the-top story with exaggerated personality traits and a unique (at the time) plot. But I was young back then, and anime had a strong impact on me. Life was better, and so anything I watched naturally resonated with me and was associated with positive memories and experiences. Something even as minor as a quick, partial background song ("Cotton Boy") that you could barely hear over the characters speaking seemed to click with me, and had remained in my subconscious ever since. Fast-forward until today. I still remembered the anime and particular scenes and songs within the OVA, yet I completely forgot the name! I finally decided to figure it out and see if it was possible to still find the OVA and its soundtrack. Upon browsing some old IRC chat log files from wayyyyy back in the day (crazy that I saved them all!), I came across a dialog where I'm chatting with another anime fan in a private message and the words "Idol Project" are mentioned. BAM! That's when it clicked. (Continued in Part 2.)
(Continued from Part 1) (Part 2 / 2) Trying to find this ancient obscure OVA proved to be extremely difficult, especially considering all these other series that have the name "Idol Project" in their title (like "School Idol Project"). It's nowhere on YouTube. Seems that no torrents for it exist. Practically unavailable at Amazon (the shipping fails when you attempt it, and the OST costs hundreds of dollars with only "one left in stock!" that ships out of Japan.) You can observe this phenomenon for these very torrents, they are somewhat recent uploads, and upon downloading everything, no peers connect to me, even though I'm letting it seed 24/7. I nearly gave up on my mission, until I managed to find these three torrents (OVA, OST Disc 1, OST Disc 2). Shin_G and sxales, I am beyond thankful for you and what you've done! You gave me a wonderful gift that means more than you can ever imagine. I haven't experienced such bliss of traveling back in time to my better days, re-experience the best nostalgia ever! (I can't believe I'm listening to the full song "Cotton Boy", that from a long time ago I only heard a brief sample of it in the background while other characters are talking. That's crazy awesome! I thought it was gone for good, slowly to drift away from my mind forever.) This OVA and OST practically don't exist anymore. Retail in the US? Forget it. In Japan, cough up hundreds of dollars. On the internet? Besides this, it doesn't exist. This is the last chance, and soon it might fall into total obscurity again if there ever comes a time when there are no more seeders. (All three of my downloads were from a single seeder.) A valuable lesson in how the most unexpected media goes extinct in our fast-paced, pander-to-the-masses digital age. I’m going to let this seed for as long as possible, just in case there is someone else somewhere in the world that feels the same way about such nostalgia. Life’s too fast, let’s all slow down. Thank you. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. :)

You are welcome, win2lin! Glad to hear that my CD-rips warmed your nostalgic heart ^^ Yeah, in our fast digital age, it seems only piracy can preserve these retro diamonds from oblivion...
