Pretty shit OP. I actually *muuuucchhh* preferred the way it looked on the Web release. That had far less effects over it and meh transitioning. BD quality's pretty poor, which doesn't help matters. The entire OVA suffers from banding, the faces look smudged out, and there is heavy aliasing. Worst yet, there's post-processing that prevents sensible descaling, so my only real option was supersampled AA to fix up the lineart well.
Post-processing includes supersampled AA, which was then downscaled to 720p. Afterwards I did some fairly strong denoising and debanding to deal with all the banding. Luckily most of the colors are pretty flat and there isn't much texture, so this was pretty painless. A bit of grain was added at the end to prevent some of the banding in darker scenes from reappearing.
Also there's a group working on this. No ETA.
