Awesome! Thanks!
Good job. Thanks
@geha714 TV is still in the works. Lots of bad timing, especially with Australia being on fire and all that jazz.
Thanks, been waiting for this. Quick question, do you intend to review and maybe re-release v2 when all volumes out, or is it safe to just get these ones and the final batch will just be a collection of these ?
@LightArrowsEXE Sorry to hear that. Hope the situation improves for them.
@nabiru3 There may be some changes made to previous volumes if people report errors. I'll fix those for batch, so if you want to be extra sure, just double-check the CRCs between these volumes and the final batch once that's out. As per usual, the best way to find out and ask these kinds of questions is by joining the Kaleido discord and asking me there, since I tend to miss Nyaa comments.
k thanks, I am already on your discord, but I commented here nonetheless tehe ☆⌒(ゝ。∂)

Thank you for the amazing job that you're doing with Kimetsu no Yaiba. Just one question about encoding. Does 10-bit H264 offer any advantage over HEVC? Or is it just personal preference?
Thanks, as always!
@Humrum HEVC, as-is, is not optimal for anime. x264 already compresses anime well enough, and does not have a broken psy-rd (unlike x265). It only really beats out x264 at very low bitrates, and that's ideally never something you'd have to do (unless you're some huge streaming company, of course). The only time x265 is comparable is at super high bitrates, which is why you see good raw groups that use it, like VCB or Beatrice, always having very big filesizes.
@LightArrowsEXE Nice, thank you for the explanation =)
i don't know why that stupid idea of envy of not uploading the bdmv from some people as if they were losing money or hurting them is stupid if i had a good speed i would upload all my work but i can't
I mean, I agree @surume, but so long as I'm not the one that paid for it, I plan to respect the wishes of the ones that did. If they don't want to release the BDMV publicly, I won't either, regardless of whether or not I think it should be shared.
