@ LuCaZ
is there any chance of getting any of the Hatsune Miku mangas, they were all licensed by Dark Horse
Hatsune Miku: Acute (1 vol complete)
Hatsune Miku: Rin-Chan Now! (4 vols so far)
Hatsune Miku: Mikubon (4-koma 1 vol complete)
Hatsune Miku: Future Delivery (2 vols so far)
it would also be nice if someone could do an update for the series Elegant Yokai Apartment Life, licensed by Kodansha
back in 2017 danke ripped/uploaded the first 3 vols, and has not done any updates since, there are now 18 vols (with digital editions)
https://kodanshacomics.com/series/elegant-yokai-apartment-life/
it is a great funny story, and I imagine that more than a few people would greatly appreciate an update
@XRA9
that sounds wonderful, assuming that everyone in here has the correct software and knowledge to rip digital copies from all of the various publishers websites
unfortunately, since it seems like not everyone in here has that knowledge, why don't you let all of us know what software we need and how to do it
I for one would love to be able to, and would be more than happy to share what I ripped with everyone in here
@XRA9
thank you for the info, I will give it a look

being a speed reader helps
that blog provides wonderful advice if I want to remove the DRM from eBook files I have purchased (I used to have a Sony eReader until they dropped that product line and all support for it)
that I could find, nowhere in that blog did it even mention digital manga files in any way, it only talks about eBook files such as novels (ok so if I buy an eBook version of The Man In The High Castle, this blog will help me remove the DRM)
it also provides absolutely no information about how to rip the digital manga files from the publisher websites
Uh huh, and what do Amazon, Apple, Google and Kobo sell manga as? Couldn't possibly be ebooks, now could it?
Also what publisher websites are you talking about? DMP?
@XRA9
Yen Press, Viz Media, Seven Seas, Dark Horse, Kodansha USA, etc
text and pictures are two different things entirely, though based on your comment that might be why occasionally some manga uploaded to in here is in pdf format, because it might be copies of manga distributed by re-sellers like amazon, apple, etc
where the reseller converts it into a different format in order to add DRM to it, which then yes would require the DRM to be removed in order for it to be shared around
with the steady volume of manga that gets shared around in here, I would find it more than a little bit difficult to believe that all of it comes from only 3-5 independently wealthy people who are buying up to hundreds of dollars or more of digital format manga, each and every month, just to share it with everyone in here (and on other websites besides nyaa)
over the past several years I have only ever seen one individual say that what they are sharing is based on what he can afford to pay for
I have never seen any requests by LuCaZ, Danke, and others asking for "more money" so that they can buy more manga, unlike various scanlation groups who do quite frequently ask for donations, and scanlators like SaHa who did not do scanlations for free (but always did good quality work)
since this conversation seems to be going in circles, this is my final post about this subject
Are you being retarded on purpose?
Neither of the publishers you just listed sells directly through a website they run. They all put their shit on Amazon, Apple, Kobo, you name it, where it's sold in whatever EBOOK format the vendor insists on.
You would've known that if you ACTUALLY BOTHERED to try and buy digital manga.
And no, we 3-5 independently wealthy people don't just buy to share, we buy to read. And yes, what we share is based on what we can afford to pay for, that's true for everyone. Whenever we can grab stuff for free, like on Comixology Unlimited or similar services, we do. Otherwise, yes, we do pay for what we upload.
