This is the complete Dragon Ball Z Tokai Broadcast Audio synced to the Japanese Dragon Boxes. The source comes from the original WAVs that AnimeMaakuo uploaded last year. The first thing I had to do was to retime the audio (switch from 24fps to 23.976fps). Then I removed from each episode one of the audio channels (since DBZ was recorded in mono) which I thought sounded the noisiest . After that I synced all of them manually with Audacity. After everything was finished, I decided to go a step ahead and remove a bit of the buzz present in the recording using the RX 7 Advanced software, and then I took the liberty to remove the low quality opening audio and replaced it with a higher quality one. The source of CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA is the movie 4 LaserDisc opening (also courtesy of AnimeMaakuo), and We Gotta Power comes from the Daizenshuu 1994 CD. For those episodes which were originally broadcasted with Movie promos or TV Specials previews instead of a proper Next Episode Preview (40 episodes in total), I used the untouched audio from the R2J DVDs (obviously just the audio from the previews). The finished files are stored in lossless FLACs, 24-bit 96Khz and in mono. I haven't had the time to rewatch the entire series, so if there are any errors, please let my know and I'll do my best to fix them. Thanks to AnimeMaakuo for uploading the raw audio files and to JySzE for the eac3to/sox script for replacing the opening. This took quite a bit of my time, so hope you enjoy it. May God forgive me for my upload speed.

thanks for the complete pack. i know that this took alot of work. if you changed the openings, did you change the endings aswell? thats the most logical thing to do.
I know this question left-field, but what is everyone 'as objectively' as a possible choice for the best video player. I've heard from people here that KM Player is good and that you can't go wrong with VLC player. (I use VLC on PC and on my Andriod phone.)
VLC is fine, but there are much better players out there. Windows - MPC-HC w/ K-Lite Codec Pack or SMPlayer Android - MX Player Pro If you don't want to pay for the Pro version of MX Player that's understandable and you can just download the apk externally. KD Player on Android is really good, too. Usually use it on my Android TV Box.
@SayanSidd For me, VLC is fine but it's bloat. I recommend MPV. There's also a fork of the dead MPC, but I've never used. For Android, I find VLC to be the best though. @Deli295 Thanks a lot!

@correvlr The thing is I decided to change the openings after I was done with the manual sync, and since the opening is at the start of the episode and always has the same length, it's way easier to replace. Sadly, the ending starts at specific points for each episode, and I wasn't up to that task honestly. Maybe in a future.
@Deli295 idk, man. That's true some within large batches of episode, but there's still a difference of when exactly the opening starts between those batches. If the beats are not consistent with the characters falling to the final pose at the end, then it's out of sync.

I'm aware of that, that's why I divided the batches by sagas when I was doing that @Romao, I'm confident most episodes openings are synced properly.
Thanks Is this the clear japanese audio ?

Well it is if you compare it to the muffled Dragon Box audio for sure.
It is better, yes, but there's an even better source. However, said files haven't been shared, just given a sample of one of the episode audio track. Anyway, unsurprisingly, FUNimation's DBZ 30th Blu-ray release is garbage. That goes for the Art Book, Packaging and the Remaster.. the statue looks great but that's obvious.
hanks, I had to stop fixing these audios because of the little time I have available, so I'm glad you were able to finish it. I am curious how you have eliminated hum distortion, in the first chapters it is really strong... However, when restoring the audios of the specials TV I realized that there is no single preset to eliminate such distortion but that there are several frequencies and harmonics that do not follow a "normal" pattern with respect to typical signal coupling frequencies. Anyway, congratulations on the job.

@overdrive I just did a single pass per episode using RX7's Spectral denoise, usually using as a profile the hum that exists between the opening and the introduction.
RX7’s Spectral denoise... ummmm, On discord, other user talk about that tool for removing hum and I comment that is enough. And I will explain why, since the RX Izotope denoiser is a good filter and recognizes the noise of the real sound. The hum coupled at the low frequencies in the voices will not be eliminated, by detecting it as a dialogue or other parts that do not want to be eliminated. It is the appropriate dehum tool to do that task as I put you in the image capture. https://i.postimg.cc/ry5mLCQS/Sin-t-tulo-1.png Anyway, you can be proud of that hard work you did.
Autoquote myself: RX7’s Spectral denoise… ummmm, On discord, other user talk about that tool for removing hum and I comment that is enough. Correct: RX7’s Spectral denoise… ummmm, On discord, other user talk about that FILTER for removing hum and I comment that is NOT enough.
> May God forgive me for my upload speed. So, you'll forgive yourself? Cuz you did God's work right here! Seriously bro, you deserve all the praise and appreciation for this excellent work. Thank you!

@overdrive since I ain't no audio engineer, I tried to do my best with what I had in hand. I might as well upload the unfiltered audio set one of these days for the purists.
@Deli295, but this time plz upload to mega or something xDD. so you and everybody can have a working pc that works for 12 hours tops hahahah.
> @overdrive since I ain’t no audio engineer, I tried to do my best with what I had in hand. I might as well upload the unfiltered audio set one of these days for the purists. For same reason, I gave the congratulations you
For anyone curious, this sounds just as good as what I've been doing myself for my encodes, but with the bonus of having a better sounding OP. I will be using these going forward in my releases. Thank you very much for your effort!

@AnimeGodz just from watching the thumbnails I can tell the video is not color corrected, and if my files don't sync to them it's because the source is most likely R1.
@Deli295 i was wrong then, thank you
@AnimeGodz Whatever you are looking at is bullshit. The Dragon Box sets were never released in anything except DVD. 480p. If you see at 1080p, it's not native. It's fan-made bullshit. Be careful.
Yes that release is not good, it's one someone took an upscale filter to and applied to the release, encoded using GPU with lighter washed out colors and macroblocking throughout for a larger size. Also it's R1, your best bet would be to get the winbloom release, use mkvtoolnix and rip the audio from it and then splice it into that release if you want, but it can't really help the video. Best bet is iKaos release (his uses R2 and has all audio options so it as well will not sync up with that random mega upload)
Out of curiosity should I go for this release or this one (https://nyaa.si/view/1216057)? Just asking cuz I thought Deli’s might be better but there isn’t many (if any) seeds on it
