Please use the subtitle files contained [here](https://mega.nz/#F!01d3lKxT!jsQBubznFNQGDpUNV2KoFw) instead of the embedded ones. These are the TLC'd versions by Terra, resampled to 1080p and renamed for convenience, which should be considered necessary improvements. Place them in the same folder as the video files and your player should use them by default. If you are using a non-standard video player or have changed the default subtitle selection settings, you may need to select the external track manually. Includes: Psycho-Pass Sinners of the System 1-3 Subs: Tezu, SCY (lyrics) Encodes: VCB-Studio Edits: Fixed a plethora of spelling and grammar errors Rephrased a lot of lines to sound more natural Cleaned up the timing by snapping to keyframes and making adjacent lines continuous Added typesetting Added OPED lyrics Restyled to match SCY's releases of S1, S2, and the movie Updated several common lines and terms to match SCY's releases Changed English (UK) to English (US)

Thank you, seems that USBD will take some time
Here are just the unmodified .ass sub files: Case 1: https://files.catbox.moe/pdjmej.ass Case 2: https://files.catbox.moe/5hq3b4.ass (No Case 3 yet because no one has finished downloading that one yet) I've spent a lot of time looking at subs for these movies so I think my opinion could help at least some people. Part of why I am looking at these is to see if the MTL assisted ones did get something wrong that affected the understanding of myself and others who used those subs. I am not here for pointless arguing. In Short: these still are not 'ideal' subs, but thanks, these are a huge improvement to Tezu's. In Long: I am someone who likes to actually look at something before judging it... From my look I can see that these subs for Cases 1 and 2... * still have some periods missing, some capitalization after a comma, and a 2 dot ellipses. But now there are just ~20ish instead of hundreds of these errors... so it is a huge improvement. * still have some other mistakes that went unfixed such as words that contextually should be pluralized. * also have some added 'new' mistakes. For example: a "Do" that changed to an "o", and someone who tried to add a line break but missed the backslash in the "\N" so now there is just a ",N" in the middle of the overly long line. In comparison to the newest versions of the subs I helped with, these still contain a lot more general errors and should make little to no difference to one's understanding of the 'big picture', but... * Case 1 has corrections that I know are much better worded/translated so IMO this one is clearly 'better'. * Case 2 is still 'meaning' the exact same things line by line over 95% of the time, but some of this has better wording and it does seem to fix some mistranslations the other 5% of the time. I'm not sure if these are actually better translated but I'll assume they are and say these are probably 'better'. Some more quality checking could improve these quite a bit and could probably make these close enough to 'ideal'.
So, when are ideal subs coming then?
Are you planning on doing a v2?
Just the unmodified sub file for Case 3: https://files.catbox.moe/8vippu.ass Last week I went through Tezu's Case 3 subs quite thoroughly and integrated bits of it into the second version of Case 3 subs I uploaded (https://files.catbox.moe/mohe5x.ass). These [SNSbu] improvements to Tezu's are affected by the same things as the first 2 cases. And there are also still some scenes that I have been led to believe are mistranslated (and the presence of specific Japanese words seem to support me on this). Some of these improvements actually make it look more like the subs I helped with. So overall, I still think the newest version of the MTL assisted (and heavily reviewed, including by someone who speaks Japanese) subs I helped with are the 'better' Case 3 subs. They 'mean' the exact same things 95% of the time, but these [SNSbu] ones have more errors, and I am fairly convinced that the majority of the other 5% of the time these subs are the ones that are mistranslated. But there are probably a few less important bits where these ones are translating better. I'd give examples of the mistranslations I know about in these, but I want to avoid spoilers. @uberasian Idk, 'ideal' subs might never come at this point. I want to imagine that since these ones were a "rush job" there is a chance they will fix them eventually. [And there is EdoPhantom who said he'd translate Case 3 some time in November.](https://www.reddit.com/r/Psychopass/comments/dji90q/psychopass_ss_case_3_opening_scene_eng_sub/). To me, 'ideal' subs just means they are about as good as your average official (horrible) subs, meaning: good English, no moderately large mistranslations, and only 1 or 2 errors at most. Until someone points out some large mistranslation in the v2 of the Case 3 subs I helped with, I will continue to think that they are 'ideal' enough. But there is a good chance that if/when EdoPhantom finishes his, his subs will convey some things 'better' and will be more enjoyable for people who don't mind a pinch of localization.
Sweet bloody jesus, if only I knew earlier how sad the sub situation is for these movies. Not that I would've had the time to do all three before S3, but when all you have is 20 versions of MTL and a few more versions of subs that seem to not veer too far away from the quality of the former...

@doomedfreak There probably won't be a v2, certainly not before S3 ends. This was a first pass to assess how much work would be needed to provide something decent, the result being that it would take too much time for us to fully address now. A proper release would require thorough TLC, (even more) intensive editing, more detailed typesetting that replaces all the /fad with more fitting effects, and updated OPED styles to better fit the new visuals. All of our translators are busy with other projects right now, so we can't address the most central issue and there's little point in doing further touch-ups when the foundation is weak. The only reason this was released at all instead of simply being abandoned is because it still constitutes a significant improvement and many people will undoubtedly want to watch this sooner rather than later so that they can better understand the events of season three. At best, we'll release a patch to fix any glaring errors that are pointed out in the next week or two. The long-term plan is just to delete this as soon as someone else makes a proper release in order to hide our shame.
Thank u so much (:
Hey thanks for still doing this!! I know it's going to be awhile since this is only available in BD besides the movie screening. I don't mind waiting until the US BD comes out and use that as a base, while fixing any errors and inconsistency from that script. It'll at least be better than Machine Translation.
Fuck off already Padowu and stop fucking marketing your Japanese to Arabic to English google translate shitjob. For the love of god why the fuck isn't that imbecile banned yet.
Made account to comment: thank you! Downloaded Tezu torrent and was thinking "is my monitor broken or is player lagging?" because the stutter was real bad. For some reason with that release, every ~4th frame is dublicated, creating extremely noticeable and annoying stutter while having zero comments about how bad that is. With this release, don't see any problems like this and on top of that, the visual quality is much, much higher! Wanted to comment on that release to tell people not to bother and download that one, because encode on it is really bad and technically broken, but comments with that one are locked.
@MrAnon I dont think pointing the mistakes a sub may have are ban worthy, if something, it lets people do a more informed choice and also set the expectations to the right level. I am planning on downloading this and fixing some stuff thanks to his comment. I am pretty sure you could convey what you wanna say better without needing to insult or be aggressive =)
sorry for doble posting. For those interested in the issues Padowu mentioned: -No clue where the "o" that was supposed to be "Do" is, searches all cases 1, 2 and 3 for "o ", "o," and "o." without much success (chances are I missed it or didn't happen) -The missing backslash is in minute 40:51 of case 2, you can search for it as Nespecially -I personally don't care that much for punctuation in subtitles since I mostly hear the audio and use the subs mostly for the bits i don't fully understand so I am not really gonna search for the 2 dot elipsis or any of the other punctuation issues mentioned. It would be too time consuming to check each coma and period… same goes to plurals. If I notice any other issue that is big enough for me to notice, I may mention it… I just hope I don't end up doing a triple post >_>
