### UPDATE (2021.01.08): THIS RELEASE WILL BE REPLACED THIS WEEK, PLEASE HOLD OFF DOWNLOADING UNTIL THE NEW BATCH RELEASE ### **Previous releases:** Saiyan Saga (Level Sets) (1-39): [#1145615](https://nyaa.si/view/1145615) Saiyan Saga (Dragon Box) (1-39): [#1150268](https://nyaa.si/view/1150268) Namek Saga (40-74): [#1170280](https://nyaa.si/view/1170280) Freeza Saga (75-107): [#1163555](https://nyaa.si/view/1163555) Android Saga (108-139): [#1182197](https://nyaa.si/view/1182197) *** **Notes:** 1. This release uses Fabrebatalla18’s [fixed encode](https://nyaa.si/view/1135394) of the TV airings of both Toei remastered TV specials as the source for the video and Ishikawa synced Broadcast Audio. I have done nothing to either elements and all credit for the those elements should go to the original uploader. 2. The Blu-Ray Double Features were used as the audio source for all remastered tracks. I changed the OP on the Trunks English/Kikuchi track to the Japanese OP instead of the Menza OP typically used on remastered releases. This change is already present in the Bardock special. 3. The TV edited tracks are unique in that they contain excerpts from Faulconer Productions scores to replace some of the licensed music. I would like to thank Lucas and JySzE for providing me with this hard to find mix. 4. Next up is season 5. *** *These episodes are compiled from the following sources. If a release source is not specified, then I am the original encoder for all elements:* **Video:** 1. 4x3 720p Animax HDTV encode w/ elements from GYAO WEB-DL - *from Fabrebatalla18* **Audio - 7 tracks:** 1. Japanese Stereo Ishikawa Broadcast Audio (FLAC) - *originally released by AnimeMaakuo, retimed by Fabrebatalla18* 2. English 2008 5.1 FUNimation "Remastered" Dub w/Shunsuke Kikuchi score (FLAC) - *from the Double Feature Blu-Rays* 3. English 2008 2.0 FUNimation “Remastered” Dub w/Kelly/Baylor/Akin score (AC3) - *from the Double Feature Blu-Rays* 4. English 2000 2.0 Original FUNimation Dub (AAC) - *from the Single DVDs* 5. English 2003 2.0 TV Edited FUNimation Dub (AAC) - *from the Nicktoons airing* 6. English 2003? 2.0 AB Groupe “Big Green” Dub (AAC) - *from the DVD release* 7. Got so excited you commented twice?
`English 2003? 2.0 AB Groupe` The AB Groupe English dub was produced around the early 2000's without an exact year known. U.K. DVD Release by Warner Vision Int. in 2003 (Source: Cover of "Dragon Ball Z: Super Battle in the World") N.L. DVD Release by Bridge Entertainment in 2001 (Source: https://www.bol.com/nl/p/dragonball-z-3/1002004000060402/) It was also aired on TV in U.K., on Cartoon Network. They broadcasted DB Movies 1-3, DBGT TV Special and maybe DBZ Movies 1 through 9 featuring the AB Groupe dub.

@Impakt So I know AB Groupe had a hand in the Westwood dub, but I always assumed they switched to their "Big Green" voices after their involvement with Westwood ended, which would have been 2002. A 2001 DVD release would imply that they were making two dubs with completely different casts at the same time.
The reason for the Big Green cast was simple, cheap budget.
AB Groupe was involved in some capacity with the Canadian dubs of Blue Water (Dragon Ball, specifically) and the Westwood one too but as to why they made their own infamous dub known as "Big Green" has never been explained officially. On one of the Warner Vision Int. DVDs they have digital cards as extras and for Piccolo they used the alternative name "Big Green" so they embraced it. lol
The AB Group dub is horrible
^ The VA on the English dub of AB Groupe of Articial Human No. 17 sounded pretty professional and fitting for the role. Kinda like Joker if he decided to voice a villain.

Big Green varies between being competent and terrible, with no in between. It's definitely fascinating, but I would hope no one enjoys it unironcally.
Outsanding stuff here with a ton of nostalgia. It's the definitive ultimate collector's edition. Thank you so much iKaos :D :D :D
Thanks a lot [ikaos]! :D Excited for the release of; Season 5 Season 6 Season 7 Season 8 Season 9
@iKaos Could I please ask you for a huge favor? I'd like to encode the US BD Season Sets and I trust your encoding skills and settings 101%! Could you please make me a script of your finalized encoding settings (meaning how exactly you would encode them yourself at the moment) so I can apply it on the Season BD sets (all 291 episodes)? It would be majorly appreciated! H.264 10-bit .mkv 1920x1080 I would assume It can be on whatever program you like: vapoursynth, Handbreak, ffmpeg etc. I only need the script(s). I can do the rest! Please think about it! It would be life saving! :)

@Yusei573 I'm not and still don't claim to be an expert at encoding, my goal is just to preserve grain, detail, and overall quality of the image while saving a little bit of space and converting to the more modern H.264 standard. The settings I use are meant for the R2J DVDs and would not translate well to the season BDs. Honestly the season sets are such a crappy release that you could probably compress them a lot and still have the same quality as the original BD, since the season sets obliterate all grain and background detail and over-sharpen everything. The same goes for the new Anniversary sets (it's the same transfer but with fake grain), but at least those aren't cropped. I would wait for an encode of those since one is bound to pop up in the next few weeks. If you want the season sets because they're cropped and therefore look better on a widescreen TV/monitor, I ask you to reconsider the need to make it "fit". The show is 30 years old and animated in 4:3 aspect ratio - this is the way it was meant to be seen. Aside from looking bad, cropping ruins the artistic intentions and composition choices that the animators made, and philosophically should never be done if you value the effort that went into the production of the show.
@iKaos I can totally sympathize with your concerns and arguments regarding the Season BDs topic! I totally agree with your thinking. The thing is (in my head at least), all DBZ releases no matter how horrendous they are should get a modern, basic and standard H.264 encode. I turned up to you because I know that your encoding basically qualifies all of the above criteria! I want a base and script that basically preserves the overall quality of the image while saving a little bit of space and keeping it true and faithful to the original source. In this case the Season BDs. Your script would not be meant to "fix" any source issues, rather than just keep it as-is while saving space. I know and am fully aware of the issues and fails of the Season BDs as I'm certainly not ignorrant. But I am also one of the people that wants archive releases to my collection of both 4.3 and 16:9. 4:3 obviously and rightfully gets all the attention and love so I'm not needed to lift a finger as everyone is working on it. 16:9 for the right reasons again does get its hate, but it's just plain wrong to doom it like that as I know there are others besides me that want a standard and modern H.264 encode of those. I hope I make sense here. Having that in mind, if by any chance you encoded the first episode of the Season BDs for me and sent me the script, by your judgement, do you think the same script could be applied on all 291 episodes? If yes, then I would truly ask you to please consider that as I am more than willing to put effort and time to do this for my beloved franchise!
@Yusei573 sounds like you want the itunes version of the season sets they are exactly what you want.
@JySzE Yes, to be honest I'd love archiving those if anyone has bought them! They are perfect for my collection as I wouldn't even need to encode them in the first place. Though I've heard the Amazon Prime version is the best for that.
@Yusei573 they were on TPB way back in 2014, i have a copy but i removed some of the audio. I can upload it later if you want just message me on discord.
@JySzE That's awesome bro!! :) Proper untouched 1080p iTunes rips of all 291 episodes with English Dub w/Kikuchi Score and Closed Captions subtitles right? Yeah, that would be amazing to archive if you can upload that copy! Though, I don't know how to find you on Discord. What's your ID there?
@iKaos would you be able to do the movie tree of might with the original toonami broadcast dub synced with the dragon box movie like you did with the ocean parts of the saiyan and namek release you did?
i have found all episodes dragon box colour corrected in 1080p with triple audio japanese original, funi dub, eng with japanese soundtrack but dont know da souce either r2j or r2us.so i tried sync that with your broadcast audio but the audio not synced.can u do it for all of us that want colour corrected in dragon box quality and have japanese broadcast audio + triple audio if not burden you?thanks for hearing me and sorry if im wrong about color corrected information. https://mega.nz/#F!O4IgEaTA!rCcI5Bn9mRFXsK8CfF7QNg!LhRiWC7C

@AnimeGodz This link has been around forever. It's not color corrected and it uses the R1 Dragon Box (I think it's incorrectly labeled as R2J), which is why it doesn't sync. I am aware of several color correcting projects and they are all using the R2J as a source, so if/when a CCed version of the Dragon Box is released, all of my audios will sync easily.
@iKaos @Deli295 i was wrong then, thank you
@IKaos could you provide the audio delays you used for this project? I'm trying to re-encode the FLAC audio to Opus for my personal collection
Is there any plans to do a Dragon Box version.

@Rohanroms all syncing was done manually, except on the BA, although at this point I would use Mirolo's version of the BA. @CSManiac33 I'll do a version using the Special Selection DVD with my batch.
Hey iKaos just want to say I really appreciate your work you've done and that these are the best downloads I have used. Just out of curiosity, will the updated batch be in 1080p and use Fuji Broadcast Audio instead of Ishikawa?
