If there's a better release please let me know as I would like to have the best viewing for this show as possible for newcomers :>
Did you use Sushi to re-time the subs?
Thanks for this!!!

@VON-Encodes I used Subtitle Edit i'm new to this stuff
Why not just stick with Commie's release?

Steran (uploader)

User
the commie release was 720p unless I'm missing something

User
can someone explain what the issue is instead of just saying yikes, it's not gonna help anyone

Steran (uploader)

User
it's only 720p because higher resolutions for this anime are pointless and moozzi is particularly bad
Don't know about this release but Moozzi2 is generally very good looking. I have noticed, though, some issues In a couple series where the filters make orange and red colors super bright. Compared various series from different sources; Moozzi2's High School of the Dead, for example, was one that was significantly better.

@herkz why would 720p be pointless can you explain a bit more I'm new to this all
> the commie release was 720p unless I’m missing something yes, but commie's 720p video was much better than moozzi2's 1080p, shoot even the HorribleSubs CR rip is better. higher resolution doesn't automatically equate to higher quality. and moozzi2 is for good reason generally cited to be the most garbage encoder on nyaa because of his terrible destructive filtering where he erases or smudges pretty much all background detail (I've seen comparisons where his encode on one show smudged all the stars in the night sky out of existence), oversharpened, warps the image destroying small shapes, over saturates, over contrasts, and shifts colors.

So If someone was to better encode the bluray in 1080p would it be better or would 720p be the best still?
when such an encode appears comparing their screenshots will tell if it did really manage to better 720p.
anime is mastered at a certain resolution, usually between 720p and 1080p. there is no detail above that resolution, so if you downscale the video to that resolution, it looks identical to the original 1080p video except it's obviously a smaller file. that's why people sometimes only release 720p, like for this anime. also, moozzi's filtering for this show is particularly bad, as it's heavily oversharpened and the lines have been darkened. it looks really artificial and unnatural to me, clearly not what the anime studio intended it to look like. if you really want a 1080p release for this anime, even though there's no benefit, you'd probably have to do your own encode since no good ones exist. i guess this anime isn't popular enough for all the generic raw groups to encode it.

ah okay I see now thank you for the clarification!, I guess i'll keep this up for a bit more than eradicate it later
@Draconiano Good thing you have it
Wish a group did a better 1080 encode for this. I really don't like Moozzi2 encodes. I'll wait another month for a better bd release before I give in and just watch the horriblesubs versions
I don't understand why you're saying this encode is bad. This anime was produced in 720p and was upscaled to 1080 for Blu-ray release, which makes the video blurred. Moozzi2 corrected that problem by sharpening a little bit the video.
@JanSilver01 I'm not sure you understand what "little bit" means. Besides the fact that Moozzi2 didn't correct anything, they destroyed it.... Moozzi2's destructive filtering is so bad, that a comparison went around for a while that showcased a night sky full of stars... in which Moozzi2's filtering completely erased all the stars in the sky. So sure, if you prefer extra dark lines sharpened to high heaven and the high contrast and odd saturation that makes everything orange as well the warping that goes along with it, but don't mind all the detail being removed from the background as a result... then maybe moozzi2 is watchable to you... but otherwise, pretty much any other source... even a bitrate starved mini-encode would maintain more detail and quality than a moozzi2 encode.
I'm stuck at 93.8%
My download is stuck at 94.4% for months. I cannot find separate subtitles for this anime, either. Could anyone kindly open his/her sources to share? I would heartfully appreciate it. Thank you.
@Steran welcome to the nyaa comments section lol
I admit some Moozzi2's encodes have fucked up colors and all, but i think this release is just good. Compared to Commie's 720p is just better
