#### NOTE: I made an error on the on the 2nd CDV, having the same audio track from the 1st one. This torrent fixes that, all other files are the same as before, so no need to re-download them all. Sorry for the error. ## Kimagure Orange Road CDV-1/2 (CD Video - LaserDisc) ![UY Cover](https://i.postimg.cc/fT16WHrG/Cover1-2.png "LD") #### Publisher: Toshiba EMI #### Format: LaserDisc, NTSC, Japanese Dialogue #### Length: ~10 minutes (Both) #### Original Release Date: 05/02/1988 - 24/04/1988 #### Animation Exclusive to this Release: Yes/No (Before 2018 Blu-ray) #### Video Part List: CDV1 "Night of Summer Side" [1st opening sequence, clean] "Summer Mirage" [1st closing sequence, clean] "Orange Mystery" [2d opening sequence, clean] "Eye Catch!" and Credits CDV2 "Actress in the Mirror"[3d opening, clean] "Sad Heart is Burning" [2d ending, clean] "Dance in the Memories" [3d ending, clean] "Eye Catch! (Type 2)" and Credits #### Made by using a DVL-H9 & Sony BDZ-X95 BD Recorder I’ve seen parts of this online once before but not the full video & the video looked somewhat bad & the color was very dark, This is most likely the best copy of it, great color + FLAC Audio Files. I de-interlace it by field making it 59.94 fps, not sure if it looks any better this way or not. It sounds like it better than doing it by frame as it’s like making 30i fps to 60p fps. #### Audio Part List: CDV1 "Night of Summer Side" 4:09 "Summer Mirage" 4:30 "Orange Mystery" 3:55 "Breaking Heart" 4:02 CDV2 "Actress in the Mirror" 3:31 "Sad Heart is Burning" 4:04 "Dance in the Memories" 4:09 "Like a Salvia Flower" 3:58 "Turn Back My Darling" 3:55 ![UY Cover](https://i.postimg.cc/Y91s9kTZ/Kimagure-Orange-Road-CDV-1-LD-480p-mkv-thumbs.png "LD") ![UY Cover](https://i.postimg.cc/gkf29HqJ/Kimagure-Orange-Road-CDV-2-LD-480p-mkv-thumbs.png "LD")

I actually quite like these, more saturated and nicer looking to me than my DVD/blu-ray files. Thanks for the upload!

I honestly feel like a good amount of early anime DVDs are actually just ports of LaserDisc, because on some older anime DVDs you can actually see the leftovers from composite video. I honestly feel the color does look better but I don't know if it's the original or the player itself. However this is the natural color palette from this LaserDisc player.
The only way to see is to compare it to the cel if any still exist for these OP and ED segments. Personally, I prefer the bluray colors over this but not the exceeding grain it sadly has. About the encode tried just using yadifmod? Leaving it at 29.970 fps I don't think the fps are that high especially for something of that era. Have you thought about tagging your stuff like others be doing? Like so [lain32] Kimagure Orange Road CDV-1/2 Set Creditless OP ED (CDV LaserDisc 480P AC3 MKV + FLAC Audio CD) or some other witty name you prefer, so people know they coming from you without having to click on the torrent. No one will be able to use your tag on this site according to the rules unless it specifically states "unofficial" and so forth.

I believe it's mode 1, it does the deinterlace by field instead of frame which makes the frame rate higher. Sometimes it makes the frame rate over a hundred.. don't know if the results are worth it or not. Honestly frame rate seems smoother when I do it this, guess I'll just stick to doing it by frame instead. And I do appreciate the tips because I'm not the best at doing this, any recommendations on how to rip the footage to is greatly appreciate it.
Beautiful art cover :) Great job!
