✨Pretty Cure Mixed Magical Girl Warriors With Fan Service To Attract A Male Audience Masterminded by "Izumi Todo" (a pseudonym for a collection of animators at Toei Animation), Pretty Cure is one of the biggest names in the genre since the turn of the century. It has a new series each year since its release in 2004. As well as establishing itself as a serious cash cow franchise, the show follows a basic formula for each new spin-off series from the main one. Fairy ambassadors from an alternate dimension are sent to Earth, tasked with granting their abilities to ordinary high school girls whose mission is to save both worlds. Pretty Cure is notable for using all the familiar tropes of the Magical Girl Genre, while also breaking some of its rules. As such, it is specifically targeted at an older, male demographic as opposed to the younger, female audience that Magical Girl shows usually cater to.

Thanks, i didn't know that about PreCure xD...
thank you herkz, very cool!
LOL Herkz, so you did see that thing on Twitter xD (For anyone who didn't get it, check this https://twitter.com/UNIVERSALERPE/status/1172876027514609664)
\>implying i'd ever put that much effort into a description
oh, I just saw it. but the quote isn't actually from the tweeter. they linked to another article at the end where the post that *actually* wrote it can be found. sorry, I went and deleted my comments here. not sure if that was neccessary now.
yeah all that plastic crap that they show from every angle is definitely merch aimed toward thirty year old men
>high school girls yeah right, they're always middle schoolers
@Half_Bl00d, I also believe the quote is suffering from a misplaced localization. While the Japanese school system places these girls in "Middle school", the closest North American equivalent to that is "Junior High school". (Grade 7 is not in Elementary school over there) Edit = correction of misplaced quote marks
Actually, I've heard the term "middle school" used plenty within where I live in the USA. and for me elementary school was also only up through grade 6 :)
