Not sure if OP is the person who put these together, but if the person happens to see this. I have incomplete hand timed/hand typed recreations of all the English MJN/Saizen fansubs,which were hard subbed with the the subs burned into the video, might save you some time if interested. Apart from the opening and Endings, the actual episode content has been done from Pre-opening title card to the end title card. If you happen to see this and are interested, let me know.

@suoervillianx51 If you can read this message, I am currently retiming the English MJN subs from this torrent into the new Netflix Japan 1080p dumped release of Major (S1 & S2), posted around two weeks ago. https://nyaa.si/view/1274275 I'm almost done with Season 1 - lines perfectly aligned, chapters fixed and all. But for Season 2 I can't find any English softsubs anywhere on the web... Since this is now the best release for both these seasons of Major: if you could share your subs (especially the valuable S2 ones) that would greatly reduce the amount of work I have to put into this endeavor. The reward: I'll post a patch to convert the 1080p Netflix files directly into English, and maybe prepare some re-encodes later on for those who prefer the filesize/quality ratio of HEVC. @suoervillianx51 I've just tracked down your S2 softsubs from a comment on Saizen's website. They are quite good to be honest. I'll only have to import OP, both EDs, add chapters, check for occasional typos and adjust the styling to match S1. If everything goes well I'll be done by the end of the month. Just noticed the update, Have MJN recreations for seasons 3-5 and Saizen-Hell Season 2 timed to their original hardcoded video files, just need typo/style/placement editing and then retimed for the best 720p HDTV video releases. Some may not care for having both sub group translations, but it is my goal to have the option. Will upload soon.

@supervillian thanks so much. I am planning to release a complete hd torrent of Major all seasons, OVAs, and movie and S5 was the only one I didn't have the subs for. I will be able to release it much sooner now. I will make sure to thank you again in description of the release.

What video sources are you using?

S1&2 1920x1080 Netflix webrip S3 1280x720 rip of unknown source, probably animax S4 1920x1080 BS-hi S5-6 1440x1080 same unknown source as S3 (tried to get 1920x1080 BS-hi rip but no seeders left) World Series OVA is heponeko's 720p tvrip Message OVA is some 720p rip probably animax Movie is 720p so I don't think it's the dvd, maybe BD? This is the best I can get my hands on from public trackers. Maybe one day we will have Major JPBDs to work with.
