Overlord III
Video Tracks : X.265
Video Source : Ninzero (BDMV)
Audio Tracks : AAC [Jpn]
Resolution : 1080P
Subtitle : English
Subtitles Source : HorribleSubs
Chapters : Yes
NCOP/NCED: X.265/Flac
What to expect.
--I'm going for good visual quality and still save on hard drive space and find the "sweet spot" so I choose to encode in X.265/H.265/HEVC
--Sweet spot 100% base on my own opinion, I go for soft look over grainy but keeping sharpness as much as possible.
--I will wait for BD version to come out and I will never upscale video files
--I will encode audio with AAC VBR Max quality or leave as is if the source isn't a flac
--I will only add English sub but feel free to add the one you need
--All my release will have chapters for ease of navigation
--If my release has an NCOP/NCED file I will encode as usual with X.265 but leave the audio as flac if the source was.
Enjoy!
ps: I have kept the original source in the track name as a thanks for the work they have done!
Finally someone who gets everything right.
Don't listen if someone says to reduce file size, they can get cleo encodes or other alternatives.
The only problem is that you can't use crunchy subs as source for BD cause the OP\ED are not subbed.
This isn't a re-encode. I used horriblesubs because I have no problem with them and because that's the one I could get my hand on. I do understand how some ppl might be sad to not have the intro and ending karaoke and when I have sub with it I usually use em, but I will admit that's it's not a priority of mine. Hope most will still enjoy.
Just wondering, is the reason you don't seem to do Dual because you find that cutting it helps reach that "sweet spot"?
Because it's so easy to remove an audio stream compared to finding and adding one, have you considered uploading it Dual and allowing people to remove it to save space if they like ? :)
I ask because you're probably the best x265 uploader at the moment, there are plenty of lower quality options providing dual, but not many/any at your quality.:)
@Leafshade haha sorry it's because I hate when the anime I start watching start in English. While I don't judge ppl that like dub it personally give me goosebumps :P
Why lie about all your releases not being re-encodes, did you forget about this one? https://nyaa.si/view/1140518
But they're all low-effort handbrake encodes anyway with no filtering of any kind and still not using 10bit despite 265 having hardware decoding support for 10bit.
Someone said it was re-encode but I wasn't sure at the time what is consider one. And it wasn't one. I always take a raw video and encode with my own setting find and add sub make chapters ect.
I do remember you asking for 10bit encode so might as well answer you this time. I won't be using 10bit encode anytime soon as I find it adds a grid like pattern to video that become mostly visible in frame with few colors like when there is a character face close up.
And I know your always just complaining but you really don't seems to know anything. I use handbrake I'm not hiding that but I use custom filter and don't use the handbrake preset. Here is an example of one of my release setting. Denoise NLMean y-strength=1.5:y-origin-tune=0.7:y-patch-size=3:y-range=3:y-frame-count=5:y-prefilter=0:cb-strength=0, LapSharp Medium Constant quality 16 H.265/x.265 obviously. Setting that I test with many difference on every release and choose the one that fit the anime the best(opinion). I hope you enjoy the attention you have been wanting for so long. Enjoy your day!
