Quality release. Thank you for the hard work. Re-encodes are a waste and so was HEVC. Fuck the mother fuckers who disagree.
Thanks

@seedsuckit what is your issue with HEVC? is your system too old to support it? would have to be like 5+ years old in that case. When done right, HEVC can look exactly the same as AVC for much lower bitrate/file size. HEVC is factually superior when done correctly, stop hating.
@Kougeru Because it's stupid and dumb to do when you have the 1:1 NF source. You're going to waste time to make the file size smaller, because YOU can't pay for better internet and have bandwidth issues.
It's experimental on the Pi 4, so what is the point right now? Suck a cock.
@Dark_Pride Cry me a river pansy.

@Kougeru When done correctly you answered your own question should very well know from his previous release as light said most of the encoders in nyaa are incompetent it's better to leave as it is.
Edit- No seeds i might as well go to sleep
@lexy9
Everyone needs to pitch in to seed. Therefore, once everyone got their download completed, make sure to seed it.
Unfortunately, I'm assuming the original uploader does not have a Cloud server to host the seed 24/7 considering it is a fansub.

it's shit for anime lol. there's a reason no one uses it.
5 seeders with almost 500 leechers. XD
@herkz it's not "shit for anime". 4Mbps for 1080 AVC is shit for anime. I've been able to make HEVC rips of blurays that look identical for much lower size. It just takes a long time to encode but it's worth it if you wanna save space. I'm extremely picky with it comes to visual issues so I'm not blowing this out my ass. I won't deny that MOST HEVC anime releases have been bad, but attacking for the codec itself is just silly.
>you guys having problems downloading too or is it just me? thanks for the subtitles!
We all are having problems, as there are just 5 seeders and none of them are seeding the file at this time.
I’m sorry guys. I started seeding and turned off my PC right after (I fall asleep around 11PM ET). I’ll turn it back on real quick and have the seed going for a short while so more can be downloaded.
Started up client, torrent should be seeding properly now. I’ll have my client up for the next 10 minutes or so, or until I see a fair amount of people who are seeding

i mean HEVC might be decent but x265 in particular is bad for anime. i guess making anime look good just hasn't been their focus, while x264 is extremely good for anime. even good encoders can't make it look as good. i didn't say no one uses it because they suck.
@Kougeru Yet most competent anime encoders don’t use it, and the ones that do all still have relatively high filesizes. MHM, really makes you think, doesn't it?
Thanks for the upload.
But I agree with the hate for HEVC 264 and 265.
My computer is only about 3 years old running win 10 and VLC. While it can run these, they are full of issues.
Internet plans are generally unlimited use nowadays (unless you have a terrible provider). A larger file size would be zero issue with me.
Heh. It should be quite quick now. Over 300 seeds. I'll leave mine go for a while longer, I'm curious how high I can get the ratio on this one.

VLC used to be the king but it's hardly well supported these days. mpv is a much better option (unless you need some obscure features beyond "play this file in a rectangle on my screen"). Much lower resources, and unsurprisingly, no problems with HEVC.
Saying "who needs HEVC" is like saying "who needs H264 we have MPEG-2 and it was fine for DVDs".
Thank you so much for doing this show, it is a wonderful one and i am sorry for the trouble over it earlier on. You are doing well and we appreciate it.
Thanks! Terrific release.
Also, if you want to brand it in the ED, or put honorifics in it (after all, this show emphasizes Takagi NOT using them), or put 200 notes at the end of the ep (remember PaniPoni/Oyasumi!), it's fine by me.
Keep up the good work.
@herkz
It is pointless to use x265 for stuff like you guys from fansubs release, where you dont care about size (since there are no improvements IMO crf115 between x264 and x265), if you care about size and still want quality you can reduce size alot knowing what you are doing with x265, which isnt that hard, while x264 will produce much worst results.
I m an encoder for Hi10Anime, to put things in perspective when I was encoding your Banana FIsh I got around 70-100 MB per file (with subs, fonts and audio also) for each episode, 24 eps being 2,07 GB, and that is taking in consideration you guys already had a real low size for the release itself. (we use OC chapters to help save size though)
When you take in consideration releases like this one, you have something like 1GB getting around 150-200 MB in the end, WHILE maintaining 99% quality, if that isnt good enough for you, so be it, but when you have hundreds to thousands of anime stored, it makes an HUGE difference.
