'We’re (probably) switching our encode source from this episode onwards as per skiddiks’ wishes, so if this release breaks your setup blame him update your LAV Filters and/or media player.' Well It broke mine.
Stop using VLC and start using mpv.
Well, I can't see it on either VLC or MPC-HC, soo I guess I'll miss the Heavenrend injoke
I use MPC-HC / CCCP ... so uh... if it broke for me and I can't use VLC I guess I am semi fucked, but I will check into this 'MPV'? RIP.
This is a 444 encode encoded with a recent x264 build, which VLC broke a while ago and still has yet to fix. mpv plays this file fine, and you aren't reliant on codec packs like CCCP.
CCCP is pretty damn out of date, if you just manually install the latest versions of everything in CCCP it works.
Well, it works on MPC-BE (just need to switch the subtitle renderer from the internal one to VSFilter) So, those who like mpc-hc can get this one, it's almost the same thing
kamiya will stop dissing on torrents if commie will upload a 1080 video
Just install mpv and eveything will just werks. No need to deal with codecs bull
Thank you very much
Well my mpc-hc and vlc on this computer were well out of date (2015 and older, not my "watching videos pc"), but the latest versions of both seem to work fine.
I was going to try that MPV but I didn't have to as googling LAV Filters 0.74.1 and simply running the installer was easy and did fix it even on my ye olde set up as MPC-HC / CCCP, so yeah it's just that one codec set you need to update, and it's an easy fix! :O Thanks for keeping me up to date Xythar! I don't know how I missed the original blog post instructions but I am glad I troll the comments @ these sites at times!
