**Episodes:** Video: AVC 1080p @ crf 16 (10 Bit) Audio: AAC 48kHz - Japanese Original script: Some-Stuffs Edit, QC: Midlifecrisis, PorosInMyAshe Encode: Midlifecrisis Typeset: Akatsuki Timing: Mito OP/ED-Styling: Touji Since I can't wait any longer and Some-Stuffs announced they would start using HEVC I felt the need to do this, so here it is. We edited Some-Stuffs translation, fixing some errors, some of them probably subjective, others not. * kept the arguably correct character names, because we obviously don't care about copyright * redid typeset because Some-Stuffs did a horrible job * other stuffs I can't remember Let us know about mistakes we missed, since we are going to fix them in the batch.

up and no seed, wtf
If the first volume is anything to judge by, it's gonna fix itself in the next 5 minutes. My server doesn't seem to like the trackers
> italian chapters that I didn't notice on the first volume niiiice. --- > seemingly fixed motion tracking on the "Next Time" cards nice. --- > same bland font on the OP ._. --- ![](https://i.imgur.com/Mt0ThdS.png) I can't understand how any of these three changes made it in. 1. In the crusade to add variably-necessary commas throughout the dialogue, a completely necessary comma somehow got *removed*. 2. Yes, it's closer to "exactly" what he says, but *lists in English don't work like that* 3. That comma introduces some super weird nested-list grammar or something. Abbacchio was already making a list, try and imagine reading it out loud with that comma inserted: 1. Pursue Zucchero 2. Find+save the guys (two things; separate from "pursue") 3. *vocal percussion on a whole 'nother level* --- [>mfw this gets to be a green torrent and the actual Some-Stuffs release doesn't](https://i.imgur.com/bP41nVc.jpg) What kills me is that this has some very good changes, and could something I'd use as a semi-archive copy before Some-Stuffs' actual BD revisions, but then there are just these random things that didn't need to be touched.
most BD releases not done by the original subbers do dumb shit, so it's not really a surprise tbh
1. If the subordinate clause comes after the coordinate clause, the comma between the two is entirely optional, which it is in this case, since "allowing him to hide somewhere in the pipes or floor" is a subordinate clause following a coordinate clause. 2. "Lists in English don't work that way" - it's called polysyndeton and is perfectly correct in English. It's not commonly seen, but it can be used for rhetorical effect (as in this case) 3. The full sentence would be "Now all we have to do is pursue, find, and save Narancia and the others, then give this guy a good beating", but it is split into 3 lines here, which doesn't change having the Oxford comma after the find. The Oxford comma isn't necessary, but it was used elsewhere, so it was added for consistency.
1. definitely reads worse without the comma to me 2. that's not really what polysyndeton is but lol nice excuse that you obviously came up with after the fact 3. hard to say about this one without the japanese, but it is a great example of why using ellipses at the start and end of split lines makes it hard to tell if a comma or other punctuation is intended to be there or not
> The full sentence would be “Now all we have to do is pursue, find, and save Narancia and the others, then give this guy a good beating” No, it wouldn't. CR's rendition uses "chase the enemy" in place of "pursue". It also splits the lines using a comma rather than the ellipsis that Some-Stuffs went with, and yet its "find" and "save" clauses aren't comma-separated. "Narancia and the others" are being found and saved, but they're not the object of pursuit. Zucchero is. The object-less "pursue" that Some-Stuffs uses is a bit weird, but it works a hell of a lot better than any of these changes do.
Why is this green and Some-Stuffs is not? Especially considering the above mentioned changes that make it worse.
Because the Nyaa trusted system is junk, and the fact that stuff can be posted as both trusted and anonymous is further junk. Midlifecrisis, ostensibly the account associated with this release's project lead, isn't green, so...
Yes, I agree, nyaas trusted system is junk, but not because of the reasons you are stating. The big problem is that right now there is no way to become trusted. Asking staff on irc or Discord just leaves you with "not right now". Luckily for me, I have two accounts. This one, and another one I primarily use for releases of my own group. That one is trusted. Now you might ask "if this release does not come from that group and there are other people working on it, why would it be trusted?" and I would agree with that, if there wasn't a small little point most people don't understand: *green/trusted does not make any statement about the quality of releases nor is it meant to*. On the old nyaa, they had blue torrents and those were trying to do that. Green torrents never did and still don't, since that system had many critics back then as well. Trusted only does tell you that it is safe to download this torrent. Being the one who primarily works on both this release and the releases of my group, I can tell you, yes it is safe. I could stop uploading it as anonymous but you would gain nothing by it and I don't really want to use the name of the group because it's in another language.
Other than this it's almost funny. This time around you apparently weren't able to find any objective mistakes like the two of volume one you used to make the argument that this release is horrible. Now you try to do the same thing with subjective ones. Yes I agree that we maybe should've thought about those three changes once more. As it stands now, we didn't. I won't re-release this volume because of that. What you also don't seem to understand is that we are not trying to make a Some-Stuffs BD release. We are under no obligation to keep everything the same nor should we, as you can see by looking at the objective and subjective changes we made that you didn't even mention because you seem to be okay with them. The fact still stands that I am making this release because I want to have a release with an encode you can actually watch, some typeset and some not horrible op/ed styles. (before you start again about those, yes I know you don't like that, but you still weren't able to give me any reason why the original is better so really I don't care).
So go on, use the 2 to 3 changes per volume that you don't like to tell us we are doing a horrible job. It would be nice if you would not make it look like it is a horrible release for everyone just taking a look at the comment section (nobody seems to do that for you own releases and I'm sure you would find many topics to talk about there so maybe think about that once), but I cannot really do anything about it. if you really don't like what we did, don't watch this release. Wait for Some-Stuffs and hope that they start caring about typeset and encode again and you will be happy. Don't misunderstand this, I still would like to hear about any mistakes we make, since I plan to fix them by the time I release a batch. As it stands, this release still is the best part 5 release there is right now. It has typeset, it has op styles that don't completely break the look of the opening, it is a BD release with an actually watchable encode *and* we fixed stuff that was in the original script. If you don't agree, you don't agree. Is that a reason to completely disregard the effort that went into this? I don't think so.
> This time around you apparently weren’t able to find any objective mistakes like the two of volume one you used to make the argument that this release is horrible. Now you try to do the same thing with subjective ones. > 2 to 3 changes per volume That would be because I was only casually perusing the subs for changes, not closely looking at each edit. Not to mention the timing, which my diff process completely ignores. Even so, I was able to find three *newly introduced mistakes* in the span of 7 lines. Looking a bit more closely, I was able to find exactly **one** "non-subjective error" (to paraphrase the torrent description) that Some-Stuffs made and that you fixed: a typo at 14:20 in 07. You made around 65 edits to the dialogue in total. Roughly half of them were purely punctuation changes, and most of the remainder were single-word edits. If you'd like some more stuff pointed out, how about use of dashes? In a couple places in this volume, you insert a hyphen with a space on either side. I don't think I've ever seen this in fansubs before, but whatever. Other times, through, you use an em dash. I haven't seen you introduce any hyphens at the ends of lines, but you use both spaced hyphens and em dashes in the middle of lines, even in just this volume. Why is that? Talking about more substantial edits, have another: 06 @ 07:33. Here, the same thing was done as @ 11:30, but this time it doesn't even reflect what was being said originally; he's just listing everyone and then noting their (collective) absence. You also introduced a pause with punctuation, but Bruno doesn't even *think* about taking a breath in the middle of this sentence.
> an encode you can actually watch HEVC is a meme. Hating HEVC is also a meme. > some not horrible op/ed styles. (before you start again about those, yes I know you don’t like that, but you still weren’t able to give me any reason why the original is better so really I don’t care). The ED is fine, although the motion's unnecessary and a bit distracting. As for the OP, the original *looks cool*. Yours might as well be HorribleSubs-esque Open Sans Semibold with nothing but a \fad(100, 100). (I also notice there's only a fade tag on the romaji; what's up with that?) You claimed to be trying to match the credits, but the romaji and translation (still) look different from each other, the Latin glyphs don't match, and you barely paid styling lipservice to the main noteworthy aspect of their visuals: the dust effect. Some-Stuffs' choice of font here isn't perfect, but I'd take it over what you've got, and I'd rank use of a somewhat different font with the same match-aesthetic-not-credits goal as better than both existing options.
> It would be nice if you would not make it look like it is a horrible release for everyone just taking a look at the comment section Maybe don't put down the basis for your work as being "horrible," then. It seems to work for me. I was very unhappy with the editing and timing on MPT's Seishun Buta Yarou Mini Drama subs, but I didn't talk trash about them; I'm grateful they exist. If they didn't, I would never have even had a chance to *watch* them, let alone come back and make an edit. Less of a big deal, especially on something with an ultimately small filesize, but same went for the mini dramas' inconsistent (and more importantly, inexplicable) use of PCM versus FLAC. > (nobody seems to do that for you own releases and I’m sure you would find many topics to talk about there so maybe think about that once) You must've missed my Comic Girls (ostensibly v1), where the latest comment is about how I screwed up when attaching the fonts (which I did). I also chose an encode that I wouldn't have used today (though at the time I admittedly didn't have access to the one I now *would* use). Or my Mob Psycho 100 S1 (also ostensibly v1), where Scyrous and ChaoXide called me out on my choice of video (and, by extension, audio) source (which did, once again, turn out to be a mistake on my part. But if there's something wrong with my Bunny Girl Senpai or One-Punch Man releases, by all means let me know. The Road to Hero script traces back to a bootleg Spanish translation that subsequently got translated into English by some rando on reddit. I'm not sure it's *ever* gone through a translation checker, so I'm sure there's *plenty* of room for improvement there. (I don't mean for this to come across as sarcastic; it's probably actually got some issues) --- > If you really don’t like what we did, don’t watch this release. > As it stands, this release still is the best part 5 release there is right now. That's just it: I *almost* really like this release. That's why I've gotten so involved here.
>green/trusted does not make any statement about the quality of releases nor is it meant to. that's actually not true for english-subbed anime on the old site. there were some standards for quality, but they were really low. if you basically had any idea how to fansub, it was usually enough. >I could stop uploading it as anonymous but you would gain nothing by it and I don’t really want to use the name of the group because it’s in another language. doing stuff like this where you abuse trusted to upload a release even though the people worked on it weren't previously judged to be worthy of it (since they didn't do english subs) would usually get the trusted removed by moderators. although on the old site you could really easily get trusted, so there wasn't much abuse.
Well, this was what a mod told me to do, so I should be fairly safe, I hope.

Would somebody be able to seed? I'm stuck at 99%.
Are you gonna keep working on these? Or did you all dropped it?
Same question from the guy above. Apparently all 10 volumes have been released, but still, i only found vol 1 and 2 on torrent
I was trying to give you volume 3 as an answer, but the move makes it hard to work on it. Still am though, hoping to get volume 3 out next week.
are ya'll still alive
