Vertical/Kodansha does release stuff digitally, they just decided not to (or maybe were told not to by Japanese higher-ups?) for Monogatari specifically. There are loads of Vertical/Kodansha LNs/manga here digitally. It's weird shit, idk man. I think something similar happened to Shogakugan since now the Yen Press versions of Oregairu are being released digitally on the 21st of June. Although hard agree on that website point, my god it's terrible

Yeah it's the official tl but the epub isn't by Kodansha, someone just scanned them. Totally fine though, I've read all of Second Season so far like that.

I have not read Oni and Koi, since they haven't been digitized. The guy who unofficially digitizes the volumes is working on Oni but it took him a long time to do Otori so idk what his deal really is.

I appreciate the effort taken to rip and upload these, but I am compelled to point out that the images in these EPUBs are extremely low quality. Compare from the Kobo preview https://files.catbox.moe/rji5ti.jpg https://files.catbox.moe/pm1xok.jpg To the images in the Kizu epub in this torrent. https://files.catbox.moe/rb4l2k.jpg https://files.catbox.moe/1hzb43.jpg The resolution is just terrible (width seems to have been capped at 600) and the images are full of artifacts which are especially visible on the Kizu cover with how much red and black there is. I guess it must have been ripped from Google Play or something (which only supplies downscaled imaged to the downloadable adobe DRM version). I hope somebody can at some point replace them with Kobo rips or with KFX-tier Kindle rips for best image quality.

thanks for this. i bought the novels personally cuz the digitization for them was taking so long (and was kind of poor quality tbh, typos everywhere). glad we have some good scans for this now.

Can't be surprised on the image quality with how small the file size is. Normal digital epub for 1 should be around 13-20 megs so with 7 books here would be well over 100 megs. Fan version maybe near 50 megs. JustAFan uploaded a higher quality ver https://nyaa.si/view/1149312

I didn't rip these, and y'all are 100% right. Although the illustrations don't really that matter that much in Monogatari since they're used so sparingly., They're also in the Japanese ebooks so they've been floating around the internet forever...
