We remuxed everything as v2 since most of the episodes contained small edits that were made retroactively after releases.
Episodes 1 and 70 are v3.
BTW: the version number is right in the checksum, it's the fifth digit :) (Likewise, the last 3 digits represent the episode number.)
wtf why do people keep trying to reinvent CRCs
what you've done is make your filenames confusing for humans and useless for automated hash checking. excellent job
I don't think he meant he was seriously going to use crc that way. It was just an observation i suppose, comically misleading. It's only true for episode 1 anyway.
Edit: wait wtf that's some weird coincidence. it's not just episode 1. are they crc's lol. i had only taken a quick look at 1 and 70 earlier.
Edit 2: atleast it's true for the first 9 episodes. the rest seem to follow 10 numbers in increasing order - A-F pattern with last two digits. weird. were the mkv's altered so as to arrive at that crc? maybe i'm thinking too much.
@sameer yes, the files were engineered to hash to these checksums.
@Permidion and @protospork Yes, this is intentional and no, CRC automatic hash checking is working perfectly fine. The files DO hash to these checksums. In case you use CRCs as global unique file identifiers, please don't do that and use MD5 or better yet SHA1. Piece size is okay for a 60 GB torrent, if your software refuses to work with it, consider using better alternatives that can handle it.
Wow! Is there any reason why only first 9 episodes get the episode number in crc, the rest follow a pattern instead. I had a look at your other torrents so it's not first time. Interesting, is there a tool available publicly that you use to do that?
@sameer well, CRC checksums are just numbers, and like you noticed, they're usually written as eight hexadecimal digits, which is why they advance like so. You can read more at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hexadecimal . The software we're using was written by us, based on this paper: http://stigge.org/martin/pub/SAR-PR-2006-05.pdf . For details please contact us on IRC.
@Rowri88 Nah, just a couple of capitalization issues, color of karaoke in the early episodes, small typos, things like that. Nothing major, but it made sense to have these in the final release.
Ah, so you went so far as to write a script that'll encode your version data into a usable CRC. That's cool! Definitely more creative than forcing every episode's hash to be 2B00B135 or something.
But maybe consider that someone might want to just look at a file and know if it's a v3 or whatever without having to know about your bespoke hash-breaking program.
Label your damn v2s
Thanks for subbing it. I had seen the German dub and I noticed that some scenes were edited in some episodes since time duration was a few seconds shorter. Apart from changing the MC name (From Kozue to Mila), also 3 episodes were not broadcast, probably because of dramatic or violent scenes. In the final episodes they seem to have changed some countries names, to align with post-1989 European map
I'll rewatch it again from the beginning mainly for the above reasons
hello I had taken all the episodes 1 by 1 but i have delete and I wanted to download the full package but I can not do it is normal ? thank you in advance in any case and good luck =)
