When 30-year-old Daikichi returns home for his grandfather's funeral he meets an unfamiliar child in the garden. His mother explains that Rin is his grandfather's illegitimate daughter by an unknown mother. The girl is an embarrassment to all his relatives and nobody wants to take her in because of the scandal. Annoyed by their attitude, Daikichi decides to take care of Rin himself, even though he is single and has no experience raising a child.

### PLEASE SEED AFTER DOWNLOADING!!
Thanks! I hear the second half is the best stuff. Too good to be adapted into anime. Hoping the waifu raising anime coming soon, [Uchi no Musume no Tame naraba](https://myanimelist.net/anime/39324/Uchi_no_Ko_no_Tame_naraba_Ore_wa_Moshikashitara_Maou_mo_Taoseru_kamo_Shirenai) don't chicken out like this one did.
You read [Gokukoku no Brynhildr](https://myanimelist.net/manga/34377/Gokukoku_no_Brynhildr)? I was thinking of making a batch together since there's none here available as of yet but thought I'd ask you first before I do it.
**@noZA_**
I haven't watched the anime yet. I'll definitely compile it after watching it. Thanks for the suggestion.
If you want to compile it, please go ahead!
**@Ahmad_o** You're Welcome!
**@Kenpachi** I totally agree with you, the entire theme was changed to something else that I can't describe.
Thanks so much for this. I vaguely remembered the polarizing ending and was kinda thrilled that a woman was behind it. Eager to get into it now. Much appreciated
I already own the physical copies of this since I used to buy a shit-ton of manga back in the day, but it blows my mind that Yen Press refuses to release a digital version of this - it's now 2026 and still no digital version. It would hardly cost them anything to do it considering they would (or at least should) still have the work files for the physical print edition, so my assumption is that back in the late 2000s they only ever acquired the rights for physical distribution, and they never acquired digital distribution rights from the author and/or IP manager and don't plan to ever do so.
Also, I hate to say this, but using the front-back combo image for the cover looks ugly as hell in library managers/readers so I wish uploaders wouldn't do that. It's a lot of work to fix it but luckily Yen Press has some cover images to work with on their site, even though they are low-res.
Further note: Anyone new checking this out, don't bother with the scanlation. This scanlation is fucking awful. The later volumes are especially bad. Grammar is all over the place and it's clear that the translator for those volumes is super ESL and barely has a grasp on Japanese either, and apparently had no idea how to use spellcheck. If I see "definitely" spelled as "definitly" one more time I am going to start shooting.
It's one of the worst fan scanlations I've ever seen. The terrible english ruins a lot of pages and dialogue, with some emotional scenes having their impact reduced to zero. It ruins the reading experience.
If you're interested in reading this, I highly recommend just buying used physical copies. If you hate it or don't want to keep them after you can always toss them back on eBay after for similar to what you paid. They will sell eventually since it comes up in conversations about manga all the time, the English edition is long out of print (and will never be digitized since Yen Press didn't include that option in their license back in the day), and there are plenty of manga nerds who have no idea how to use bittorrent or trackers.
And yes, the version on MangaDex is the same as what's in this torrent. Garbage.
