CRF=20 because the file size literally doubles at 18. To be frank, the BD source was not that great either (tons of grain/banding/artifacts), making crf=18 IMO not really worthwhile. I did use `aq-mode=3` to help increase bitrate during dark scene though.
I tried using Smugcat's subs, but it was a pain to resync. Each new chapter had a tiny offset, by the time you get to the ED the subs are off by a full second. Shouldn't be a hard fix but just way too time consuming. Kinda a shame though, it had karaoke for OP/ED.
There's karaoke for the NC OP/ED though if you wanna learn the song (lol).
__Video Format:__ HEVC 10 bit (crf=20, `preset=slow` w/ `bframes=8:limit-sao:psy-rd=1:aq-mode=3` override)
__Audio Format:__ AAC (FDK AAC; VBR Q5 ~210kbps)
__Subtitle:__ ASS (HorribleSubs, Chihiro for NCOP/ED)

then scenefilter it?
>what even is sushi
even manual resyncing isn't too bad, you just have to make the shifts at title cards usually. If I remember correctly from the one BD I did like this, it was about 4 shifts per episode.
>then scenefilter it?
~~I'm too dumb~~.
In all seriousness I have no clue how to setup Avisynth or whatever people use to filter stuff. Quite frankly I'm starting to realize I'm getting to the point where I don't really care about minor flaws and am happy with my library encoded at crf=20 w/ AAC audio. I don't even mind using ripped subs from streaming services anymore lol (to be fair I could pretty much spot the transalations error and mentally replace them at this point).

I pretty much figured it was the case, but it's frankly not worth my time.
