wanted the best possible quality for my own dragon ball archive but couldn't find a decent release for dragon ball movies... i combined and synced video/audio/subtitle from 3 different releases and applied some de-noise filter. subtitles are from the dbnl release, used 1080p remastered funimation as the video source and found a better, clearer japanese audio files than funi release. i think this is by far the best db movie release yet. since my upload speed is slow i won't be able to seed for long, i'll stop after some people complete it. hope you guys keep seeding it ^^ i made this for myself but wanted to share since Dragon Ball is my favorite anime and i wanna help it's fans.

Best possible quality? Seems quite compressed and the audio is AAC lossy. The two best video releases: - Zima's Blu-ray (remaster by FUNimation) @ https://nyaa.si/view/1060808 - WEB-DL (remaster by FUNimation) @ https://nyaa.si/view/1063589 Plus, to really make it in its best possible quality, you'd have to tweak the brightness of DB Movie 1 as it's too damn dark and switch the OP to keep the Japanese text. Also, FUNimation royally screwed up Dragon Ball Movie 2's HD remaster so it's not even watchable due to the broken framerate. I mean, you can watch it but it wouldn't feel as though you'd be seeing it at a normal pace.

Super_Saiyan_Lusitano there's no hd audio for japanese afaik. i used that web-dl as my video source and the audio is worse than my release. you can download it and compare if you want... bluray is spanish dub only so it doesnt have a better japanese audio either. i would check the video quality but doesn't have any seeders so i couldn't use it as my source even if i wanted to. applied denoise filter over web-dl which made it noticeably better "in my opinion" people may have different preferences. that's why i said "i think" this is the best release. also with animation a good compression may not be worse than the source. tried higher bitrate as well but even when i compared still frames side by side there was almost no difference with over twice the file size.
I was talking in terms of picture quality. The Zima Blu-rays have the best and then the WEB-DL comes in second place as it is compressed. Now, official anime distributors and remastering companies have tried to deceive us into thinking their DNR'd releases look better when it's actually the opposite as each time they try to clean up the image there's a loss than a gain. Here's a perfect example: ![alt text](https://i.imgur.com/rsMZfBf.png "Logo Title Text 1") Despite that, it's possible to do a moderate DNR but most just end up on offering an inferior product.
