> so did you scenefilter the aliasing/banding then?
just aimed to reduce file size w/o reducing quality - I [always] use madVR during playback, tbh I hadn't even noticed them in the source until you brought it up and I checked with it off! Didn't notice any heavy aliasing on the BD outside of the OP and a few scenes in Ep 1, banding was minimal too. Will consider it if I do the others.
Whatever could you mean, @herkz? There's absolutely no [ban](https://files.catbox.moe/49auru.png)[ding](https://files.catbox.moe/uxucxd.png) or [alia](https://files.catbox.moe/5wt8la.png)[sing](https://files.catbox.moe/ps6t9m.png) to worry about!
@LightArrowsEXE - I did say I was looking at the other eps
[Very prominent banding on the Blu-Ray in Episode 1](https://i.postimg.cc/x92wDH4N/7839-Zoku-Owarimonogatari-Episode-1-NC.png) vs. [no change for the encode](https://i.postimg.cc/NQkWgM3J/7839-bood-Zoku-Owarimonogatari-Episode-1-D61471-E0.png) vs [madVR is magic](https://i.postimg.cc/2khdDqJ3/bood-Zoku-Owarimonogatari-Episode-1-D61471-E0-mkv-snapshot.png)
If the people want pre-filtered then I'll filter.
Whoops. Linked the thumbnails. Fixed.
madvr is good but it's not the perfect solution for all banding. there are different levels of banding that need different strengths of debanding. and nothing can fix aliasing on playback.
