Knowing that there are increasingly powerful forces in the universe that he has yet to encounter, Goku spends all of his time training to achieve even greater strength. But, one fateful day a mysterious new Saiyan appears before Goku and Vegeta: Broly. How can a Saiyan—a member of the proud warrior race that was completely annihilated after the destruction of Planet Vegeta—appear here on Earth? With Frieza’s return from hell, a fierce battle awaits the three mighty Saiyans who have followed completely different destinies.
@Lupin: Perfect, exactly what I was looking for. Quick question, you wouldn't happen to have the untouched ISOS of the other two movies (Battle of Gods and Resurrection "F") would you? I have a habit of collection all Dragon Ball Z related ISOs and I haven't been able to find those two.
And thanks again for the great release!
@DR3AMKiiLL3R
There’s no intonation when we type our comments out as opposed to speaking out loud. The way you put it, many would interpret it as bring up the fact that DVDs are trash when compared BDs in today’s age. There are multiple meanings that can be interpreted by what you said, especially when you don’t elaborate by what you mean. Assuming that it wasn’t your intent to post a hate comment, you could have easily avoided this by saying something like “Cool! I didn’t expect to be able to find DVDs in 2019!”
Expressions like “Wowsers”, or just “Wow”, have dual meanings. It can either be used negatively to express sarcasm, or positively to express excitement. Without the rise and fall of pitches when we speak, it’s hard to discern that. Also, the use of punctuation can help, like how I used exclamation marks in my example. The way you use ellipsis (…) can also be interpreted as being irritated/uncaring. These all carry meaning.
This is a cut-throat world. You have to be careful how you word things, especially when it counts the most.
Lol
Wowsers:expressing astonishment, admiration, or enthusiasm.
as·ton·ished greatly surprised or impressed; amazed.
"DVD in 2019
I'm surprised"
I mean...it's all there..you just gotta read it
I mean dude i respect you but this community needs to chill
DVDs are still well alive and will probably outlast Blu-rays. Besides, there's a lot of Dragon Ball gems on DVD that haven't/won't make its way to Blu-ray, or at least with a proper remaster.
DVD is shit. I can't believe someone bothered uploading this trash. They honestly should give DVDs away for free. I never buy them at all, only BD and 4K UHD BDs now.
@NobodysLoveMalus
To each their own. I try to get my hands on both if I can. I get BD for archival/ quality purposes, and DVD because I like the interactive menus that easily work without any extra steps required on players; just drag-and-drop and you’re done.
But honestly, your comment isn’t needed. If you don’t like it, save yourself some time and leave. You also don’t have to be so blunt. There’s a difference between constructive criticism and downright putting someone down. It’s not like you’ve uploaded jack for any of us anyways, so watch your mouth.
@NyaaSearch You are correct "This is a cut-throat world", however this is also the internet, try developing a thicker skin rather than overreacting with a unnecessary response. Also 480p DVD's are ancient, a 720p web-dl would be miles better. If you still rely on a physical DVD player and require ISO's to watch this then you have my sympathies.
Thanks to the uploader but this DVD release is pretty much garbage. Green tint, "Frieza" on subs and no extras.
FUNimation these days. :-/
To be clear, I'm not blaming the green tint or the subs on FUNimation but the extras? Yeah.
@supra21
Would you keep uploading for a community that constantly shits on your uploads rather than give actual constructive criticism? This is why I don't share because I don't feel like you guys deserve it. Speaking for myself, I'm more thick-skinned than you make me out to be. All I did was explain the reason for what happened above from another's perspective and the fact that it might have been misinterpreted. Some people lack the ability to understand empathy and the perspective of others. However, it's also true that some people are thin-skinned, and cannot take constructive criticism either, even if no one was shitposting, but take it to heart.
Honestly, the world would be a better place if everyone didn't just think about themselves. Some of you guys don't even shell a single penny on here and expect free things from others without giving even a shred of gratitude. Yes, there are undoubtedly pointless uploads that the world can do without, but you can just as easily ignore them rather than unnecessarily commenting. Although pointless, some of those torrents up aren't against the rules on Nyaa, so they have the right to remain on here as well as much as others want them down. Do you really think shitting on uploaders will get them to do the things the way you want? Most likely, they would become even more adamant to conforming to your demands, or straight up stop uploading. This has already happened on many occasions here.
@supra21
Comment too long, broke it into two parts.
Like I’ve said, I collect **both** because I have the capacity to do so. And no, I don’t use DVDISOs as a means to watch anything in general. I normally just grab the best encodes on here, or even Webrips for currently airing anime and replace them with BDRips when they come out. I just like BDMV and DVDISO because they are untouched copies for archival purposes. For DVDISO, I like to look at the interactive menus without having to go through extra tweaking to get it working, but can just as easily get them to work for BDMVs. Once I’ve taken a brief look at them, I just put them away into externals. However, that doesn’t mean I grab every DVD that gets uploaded here, only the ones I really like or are masterpieces, in which case I get the BD first. For older series, I especially want the DVDs because it shows how the graphics were like back then when that particular series came out. It’s pretty much for nostalgic purposes to see how anime and their art styles have evolved over the decades.
@NyaaSearch:
I was messing with you. I read the first few comments and thought you were going a bit far with that guy's "wowzers" comment. While I don't think DVD is needed for torrents and that the quality of it is so poor that they should be given away for free, I don't hate it like I sounded up above. =P
@NobodysLoveMalus
We’re cool. I never take anything too personally on here because the Internet isn’t worth stressing over; just take everything with a grain of salt.
However, with most things in life, its rare to find anything that’s free. DVDs still take money to produce, and it’s work created by people who invested time and effort into. If you’re talking about the cost of making the DVD itself, then yes, it cost a few cents to manufacture. What is of value though is what’s on the DVD. The uploaders on Nyaa are paying for it and to have it uploaded for all of us to enjoy as well. You’re literally getting it for free. Nothing lasts forever, especially free things, so appreciate it while it lasts.
It doesn’t hurt to give gratitude where it’s due. It doesn’t financially cost you anything, and lets uploaders know that others appreciate what they are doing. But here’s the thing: **If you don’t like it, don’t say thank you**; but don’t shit on them either. Obviously, if the uploader doesn’t see any comments, or gratitude for that matter, hopefully they’ll figure out that their uploads are no good and try to improve what they are doing. If you really want to say something to point out what they can do to improve, this is where constructive criticism comes in. I’ve seen some people that constantly post thanks immediately to every torrent under a single uploader the second it gets posted. They hand out thank yous like their’s no tomorrow; that’s just cringy, and just makes their gratitude essentially worthless. It just gives them the appearance of a suck-up, and even as a beggar when they request something right after.
Metaphorically speaking, I just find it unintelligent for people to bite the hand that feeds you, even if it’s feed that you don’t like. As along as I get my fill and don’t starve, isn't that good enough? Also, you can wait until a better upload comes out. You're not forced to download what you think is garbage. There’s really no need for anything to escalate.
The MANGA release won't have the green tint but it will have the "Frieza" subs. Oh, no extras apparently.
I want to buy a good, meaty release but seems you either accept losing this or that in favor of losing this or that. Wtf.
Hey all, I merged the 1080p non green-tinted video from the leaked MangaUK torrent (from this torrent: https://nyaa.si/view/1118266) with the 5.1 English audio from the Funimation release that I time corrected (from this torrent: https://nyaa.si/view/1135762)
The audio is FLAC 5.1, just like the original. I extended the audio length by 0.1% (which is the difference in video length between the MangaUK and Funimation releases when you factor out the MangaUK intro and the slight difference in FPS that makes the Manga UK version about 5 seconds shorter, this made the audio about 5 seconds longer total to sync with the Manga UK video) and delayed it by 12.481 seconds, which is what I found to best account for the MangaUK intro and match the video (took me more time to find that than I care to admit). I also mixed in the audio from the MangaUK intro into the English audio, so you don’t even notice that it isn’t official. All Lossless, no compression.
This also includes the original JP 5.1 track, along with time adjusted Funimation subs for just the signs for English audio, and subs for the whole movie from the MangaUK release.
IF YOU ARE WATCHING THE MOVIE WITH HEADPHONES OR STEREO SPEAKERS, MAKE SURE VLC IS OUTPUTTING THE SOUND AS “STEREO” INSTEAD OF “ORIGINAL” SO IT IS DOWNMIXED PROPERLY AND SOUNDS MUCH BETTER (so much it’s ridiculous). THIS IS WHY IT SOUNDED SO BAD IN CERTAIN THEATERS. To do this, in VLC click on the “Audio” tab, then “Stereo Mode”, then “Stereo”.
This link is the .mkv video file: https://mega.nz/#!SHx0AajJ!wm0kIblgV6TY6dX64Wlh8VV21IT10Y_KpGcJxKc0qOk
This link is the movie in a renamed .zip file in case the video file gets deleted: https://mega.nz/#!nOxyXQya!wTUASRb-h2ikTTfas1H8BeRHIdmQRCZ2wtMpIzCaQkw
I think its pretty spot on, but if you notice anything off about the English audio and video sync, or have suggestions, let me know.
I don’t know how to upload a torrent file :/ so I’m posting this on several DBS: Broly torrents so people can see.
