This is v2 of my 10 bit HEVC / x265 reencode of [Kametsu's](https://nyaa.si/user/Koby "Kametsu's uploads") 14.8 gb release of Tokyo Ghoul, with audio encoded to AAC, audio timings fixed, and karaoke subtitles during the OP fixed. Japanese audio and English subtitles are default. OVA episodes are reencodes of [rickyhorror's 1.7 gb release](https://nyaa.si/view/970259 "rickyhorror's encode") and only have Japanese audio and English subtitles.
If you have v1 of this release *([[Reaktor] Tokyo Ghoul + OVA [1080p][BD][x265][10-bit][Dual-Audio]](https://nyaa.si/view/1107749))* and are on Windows, or 32bit Linux, you can use *[[Reaktor] Tokyo Ghoul v2 Patch to v2](https://nyaa.si/view/1125444)* to upgrade to this version instead of downloading the whole show again.
Here are some comparison shots of my encode vs [Kametsu's release](https://nyaa.si/view/808382 "Kametsu's encode")
Obviously there are some reductions in visual quality compared to the original in all my uploads, these screenshots should help you decide whether the reduction in quality is worth my far lower file sizes.
Keep the file size differences in mind.
Tokyo has become a cruel and merciless city—a place where vicious creatures called “ghouls” exist alongside humans. The citizens of this once great metropolis live in constant fear of these bloodthirsty savages and their thirst for human flesh. However, the greatest threat these ghouls pose is their dangerous ability to masquerade as humans and blend in with society.
Based on the best-selling supernatural horror manga by Sui Ishida, Tokyo Ghoul follows Ken Kaneki, a shy, bookish college student, who is instantly drawn to Rize Kamishiro, an avid reader like himself. However, Rize is not exactly who she seems, and this unfortunate meeting pushes Kaneki into the dark depths of the ghouls' inhuman world. In a twist of fate, Kaneki is saved by the enigmatic waitress Touka Kirishima, and thus begins his new, secret life as a half-ghoul/half-human who must find a way to integrate into both societies.
