This anime has next to none good releases with subs and 1080p so [DTTM] decided to release it.
Original raws: [Beatrice-Raws] 1080p -> [DTTM] 18 crf at veryslow.
Original subs: [Ohys] at 720p -> [DTTM] scaled to 1080p.
This has been a [Don't Talk to Me] release.
... So please don't.
>Is there a reason you decided to re-encode Beatrice’s release?
Bloatfree? I mean, Beatrice is literally useless. You can grab remux instead. It will be only slightly bigger.
Their torrents die very fast anyway.
There are at least one seedbox on the Qualidea Code torrent, so our release isn't dead.
About the size: it's not bloat. We even used HEVC to reduce file size, as AVC version were bigger.
Most likely encode provided in the [DTTM] release is pretty bit-starved or filtered to the ice.
@LightArrowsEXE, I mean.. I like Beatrice-Raws and I trust their releases to be really good. I've used them a lot in the past. And it had seeders. :)
@CheekyKoala, yes, sorry, the KOTEX subs timed for Ohys' release.
@DJATOM, thanks for the release, it was very high quality. I do not bit-starve my releases. I just let it compress way more, but only by specifying crf 18. Some people would still consider that "bloat", but I see it as the respectable threshold for a quality picture. It looks more than fine. Don't worry about it. :)
Also.. >_< I left 2 subs in the 10th episode. God dammit. Oh well. At least the correct one is default.
Thanks for downloading, too. :)
@DTTM Nice thought to quantize the oversized memory killer down to a tolerable level of file size for the Beatrice-Raws video stream alone for this already far too blurry anime, however it shows a noise artifact throughout.
My recommendation is Snow-Raws: the rip is only minimally larger, after subtracting the useless commentary audio tracks (all audio data streams are at maximum spec), and gets the best possible out of it without color noise due to the much more effective HEVC 10-bit encoding.
Based on my personal assessment, the best looking rip comes from Moozzi2, though the encoding is merely based on an anachronistic AVC in 8-bit, which's interpolated the blurry image of the anime to an acceptable level.
