For centuries, I was dormant. But not I have awakened. Season 4 of FMP after "some" time has passed. The waiting is finally over and what we got is... meh.
Yeah, not gonna lie, this was very lackluster. It had a pretty strong beginning, but the middle part with the retarded robot fighting tournament was basically canon filler. The characters met were pretty much pointless and the shocking revelation was... completely missing. It was just spinning its gears until the final episodes where the action picked up.... and ended on a cliffhanger. See you in 2040 for season 5. But hey, it's FMP, so I guess we gotta watch, right? Curse you, KyoAni, for making me love Fumoffu so much that I'll gulp down anything FMP related. Yes, that was my favorite season. COME AT ME, BRO!!!
Truth be told, Fumoffu IS the only good one, but you can't enjoy it as much without watching the first one. Season 3 and 4 are meh. Thing is, the story is FMP is nothing special. It's mediocre at best with nothing to make it stand out. Standard military organization VS evil organization using giant robots.
I enjoyed it, despite the production issues. But hey I'm a mecha nut and pretty biased towards FMP. Gotta say, the ARX-8 Laevatein's debut was sexy as fuck after I waited so much to see that machine in anime (says something about the gap beetween seasons that we got it in 2 SRW games before it got the anime treatment) , and totally justified everything.

I understand. But I figured it'd be the case given SRW. SRW V must be why I could enjoy this, despite the issues. Getting to know how the stuff hinted at and covered by V went in canon,
It WAS SRW that got me interested in FMP, after all (J, one of the few to be translated before the official asia english translations started with Moon Dwellers)

I disagree. Fumoffu was my least favorite FMP series, it just seemed more like a FMP parody. The original first season is still the best imo.

^ I really enjoyed Invisible Victory, I thought it was a great sequel to The Second Raid. Both were equally good in my opinion, but like I said in my other post, the first season is still my favorite!
Second raid is peak KyoAni, great art and (Mecha 2D)animation. Xebec did good job with this season ngl but I hope they made some fixes to the BD since they had production issues because of tight schedule.
Too bad no one subbed the 3 movies yet... I was hoping to watch these before watching Invisible Victory, but I guess I'll download it now and watch it later whenever the movies are subbed.
I find FUMOFFU is hilarious as f*ck.
When compares FUMOFFU to the other seasons. It is in a totally different category on its own...
FUMOFUU is enjoyable to watch from beginning to start. The other other season contains politics and a lot more actions. Depends on your taste.

In spite of rumors, I encode directly from BDMV unless a BDMV is not available for more then a year since the final release date. Then I will consider using raws. But I will always mention it.
