This is my 10 bit HEVC / x265 reencode of [Kametsu's](https://nyaa.si/user/Kametsu "Kametsu's uploads") 11.2 gb release of The Boy and the Beast, with all audio encoded to AAC. Japanese audio and English subtitle track are default. Thanks to [Scyrous](https://nyaa.si/user/Scyrous) for getting me started on AAC audio encoding! Here are some comparison shots of my encode vs [Kametsu's release](https://nyaa.si/view/817535 "Kametsu's encode") Obviously there are some reductions in visual quality compared to the original in all my uploads, these screenshots should help you decide whether the reduction in quality is worth my far lower file sizes. For nine-year-old Ren, things could hardly be worse. His mother has passed away in a traffic accident, his father is nowhere to be found, and his extended family is cold and distant. Desperate, Ren runs away to the mean streets of Shibuya to try and survive on his own. In the beast realm of Shibuten, the fierce warrior Kumatetsu is certainly feared, but not especially liked or respected. When the Lord decides to retire and become a God, Kumatetsu would be a natural candidate to replace him; he and the noble Lord Iouzan are the two strongest in the land. But Kumatetsu is so anti-social he's never even managed to hold on to a disciple. And until he proves he can, he'll never be a serious contender. When Ren gets lost in a maze of alleyways and finds himself in the strange land of Shibuten, fate brings these two stubborn and fierce-willed souls together, and Kumatestu re-names the boy "Kyuuta." Each of them has much they can teach the other, but where these two are concerned, nothing is going to be easy. As Kyuuta adjusts to his new home he finds himself torn between two worlds—two worlds that are far less separate than either the Boy or the Beast realizes. ### File details Video: 1920x1080 24 fps HEVC Main 10 Audio: English; AAC Stereo ~100 TVBR Japanese; AAC Stereo ~100 TVBR (Default) Subtitles: Signs/Song for Dub; ASS subtitles English; ASS subtitles (Default)

I've created a Discord server linked in the "Information" section of the torrent header for requests and discussion. I will be checking for future requests there, as Nyaa's comments section has no way to notify uploaders of new comments.
Nice you took AAC instead of AC3. Good work keep at it.
Thanks a lot for Wolf Children and The Boy and the Beast man, loving your encodes in AAC. BTW will you encode movies like Akira (1988) https://nyaa.si/view/1105894 and Children Who Chase Lost Voices from Deep Below https://nyaa.si/view/858792 they both are great movies I recommend anyone to watch them if they have not but I think everybody has watched Akira, its a classic.
@Reactor "I’ve created a Discord server linked in the “Information” section of the torrent header for requests and discussion. I will be checking for future requests there, as Nyaa’s comments section has no way to notify uploaders of new comments." I've often wondered why there is no option for uploaders to be notified of Comments. Much needed. My hero was the old Demon**d, lovely UI pretty much a built-in forum at torrent level. Thank you for all your good work.
Reduction in visual quality? Where!? I've literally been alt-tabbing back and forth between the images and can see no change onscreen at all. Literally the most impossible game of "Spot the Difference" I've ever played. :)
thank you reaktor love your releases.
Nice one. Thanks
