So those are official subtitles that come with the bluray?

i can't tell, since it was the first time i watched this movie. but the subs are differen't from the one DUWIGIT uploaded (Maquia Jap audio Eng hardsubs.mkv). i took a screenshot from the scene someone used to compare the previous "shitty" subs (kaiji and kaiji-hi10 i think?). Arukoru's upload definitely uses the 'Closed Captions' subs, since that's easy to work with, it follows exactly the english dub and it has this bullshit: https://i.imgur.com/JiPhpqp.png (japanese is a foreign language since everyone speaks english). CC kinda sucks because it can be kinda off sometimes, but it feels quite natural in english. Meanwhile, DUWIGIT is probably using that stupid hardsubbed translation since they can't get rid of it anyways off the video stream with japanese audio in the US BD or w/e. No one else had issues with this file? like... VLC had a fit and errored out every time i tried to load it. My Plex server could not even see it. I tried to toss it into Handbrake to see if there was something off and that errored out... It did however play with Media Player Classic version MPC-HC.1.7.13.x64. I even forced a recheck of the files thru my torrent client and everything came back clean. Dont know what the issue is... but VLC does not like this file.
