Hanako wants to be an idol. She's actually really talented. She can dance, create choreography, sew and more. One thing she can't do? Sing. She's completely tone deaf. So when she auditions for a spot on the new group Music Girls, she fails. But her many skills as well as her great attitude and ability to bring out the best in people have her stay on as the manager, helping the members of the group to solve their problems and bond with each other.
This series is related to an old OVA from 2015. It's a modest production with not much going for it except maybe it's can-do attitude. It's mediocre in almost every aspect but it doesn't do anything really bad so as to get people to actively hate it. It's cute, like a puppy. You can't get mad at it, it's doing its best.

I was expecting something out of this show not Idolmaster. Love Live, or BanG Dream tier but something. I don't mind the new character who became the MC all a sudden as was hoping on seeing some more songs and all that with an alright story and some character focus and more importantly I wanted to hear the original 3 ongaku girls sing some more songs since they my favorite but I guess they can only do so much within 1 cour.
Your description is better than that on Anidb. Maybe ask to change the anidb one to your's.

Based only on the CD single for Shining Piece, it has two Hanako solo vers: the catastrophic "No Direction ver." and the normal "Directed ver.". Hanako can sing, she just needs direction apparently.
