Watching these subs annoys me to no end to see that you newbs haven't realized that this show is set in JAPAN, where they address people by last name-first name. Just because you use the reverse name order in your country, doesn't mean you have to impose your idiocy on all of us. I do commend your group for being honest by giving yourselves a name that literally means 'idiots', but why don't you get your heads out of your rear ends and realize that, then start releasing v2s with the names in their proper Japanese order? Or maybe you would prefer if I reported you and had the licensing companies there send you a C&D based on the DCMA?? Your choice.

No one's forcing you to watch them.

The text of the subtitles is in English, so it is normal that the order is first name + last name If you want to see Japanese text, disable subtitles

I feel like this applies to just about anyone who complains on uploads by people who genuinely put their own time and effort into a project: If you can do it better, do it yourself. No one's stopping you.

@sarachikorita: Note that the DVD you posted a screenshot of was produced by a company which gave up the legal rights to the series due to incredibly poor sales. Why do you think they had such poor sales? Because nobody wanted to waste their money buying something that inaccurately orders character names. You should not be attempting to imitate a failure of a company, or you'll be doomed to repeat what happened to them. The company that currently has the legal rights to the series, Crunchyroll, understands this at least, and correctly chose to use proper Japanese name order (Last Name-First Name). That's why Crunchyroll will be able to continue the series forever, while the old company failed miserably. Expect to see a DCMA takedown notice as soon as I report you to Crunchyroll and/or the Japanese production companies. (TMS, etc.) @yauncle: I plan on talking to someone at Kienai's group to work with them, since they seem to have an intelligent team who accurately translates and puts names in the right order.

BTW, he'd be shocked to find that TMS has actually reissued Funimation's subtitles on their own webstreams, and that they themselves translate Japanese names in Western order (yes, TMS does their own English translation of Conan; it's done to make things easier for foreign licensees intending to dub the series in their own languages, and most of them do start from those translations). SHOCK HORROR!
