How real is REAL? Are you real? Am I real? Now you've made me question everything!
Well, they couldn't be more unreal than the last. TIA when it finishes...
I don't know how good the subs on this are, but I can tell the video on this is pretty bad, just from looking at the bitrate. (1086 kb/s for a 1080p???) We said this on the last posting of this movie, too, but if you truly want REAL English subs, just wait for Kienai. We're at 98% finished as I'm typing this.
Can always strip out the subs and add to a better raw.. until the pros come out :)

The video looks fine to me. So, maybe it's not as good as the file that's almost 8X the size of this one. Probably could really notice the difference on a huge wall-sized screen, but that's not what I'm watching on. If you hate the quality of this so much, well,.. you can either watch the one with machine-translated faux-english subs, or you can wait for something else... This one was fine for me
i love real english subs
> just wait for Kienai. We’re at 98% finished as I’m typing this. well then ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It's way better than the poor google translation, but you could have chosen a better font style and take more time to double check it to prevent clipped text. ex. Thanks to the satellite transmission technology | that we're able to control it even when not in reach. Please check the links above for real updates and fixed translation :) Thank you Also, I appreciate all hard work and effort. Please do not put down other's work to bring yours up. I do not translate movie or anime at all. I'm doing this because I wanted to. All human work put into it is REAL English sub. You are mistaken if you see me as a competition or a threat.

The grammatical quality of that comment does not do an excellent job of advertising the grammatical quality of the subs.
Gramma is not Chibi's thing... Missing punctuations, "can flies" "That's gotta" "to preserving" "to saved" and many more...
@jmaeshawn Any updates?

You actually have a problem with “That’s gotta”? Now I think you're just trolling. Either that, or you're a non-native English speaker who only learned very formal Queen's English. "Gotta" is commonly used in informal speech, or in written informal speech. Google it if you don't believe me. The subs are perfectly readable and understandable, and Chibi made this translation solo just so Conan fans could enjoy this movie. Nitpick elsewhere Someone who writes "gramma" for "grammar" is pointing out someone else's mistakes

I made a mistake on the listed bitrate. Overall bitrate is 1411 kb/s, nominal bitrate is 1086 kb/s
Casual speech does suite conan better and is easier to read, not that it's wrong to use informal ways saying that something is necessary or must be true. The mistakes in gramma makes it hard to follow up the Movie and should be corrected.

Sometimes my gramma makes mistakes in her grammar.
Like: If you can solve the quiz I'm about to give you | I shall install a camera onto your controller. If you can solve the quiz, | I will install a screen on each controller.
Finally some readable subs ! a pure thank you from my heart <3
In 2 days we can enjoy in Spanish theaters in Spanish and Catalan dubs :D
I just want to comment as someone that watched these subs twice, Grammar greatly helps with the experience, for most of the movie you get the idea of what is being said. However the Conan movies are and have been very heavy when it comes to explanations and the small grammar errors or misused words can make it hard for some to keep up with what is happening. If you can't read quickly, or have trouble when there are multiple lines of dialogue on the screen, then this isn't for you. I would also like to add there are translator notes through the movie that I don't think need to be there and personally (for me anyway) kind of ruin the experience. I have also noticed some timing of the subs is off, and if it's during a long discussion, then they are off until there is a break in dialogue and it's kind of distracting. I'm not trying to put the Subber down, I'm grateful for the work anyone puts into these, be it Conan or any other anime, but if your not picky like us, then this sub is fine. From waht I understand (from tumblr) this translation was made very quickly and after it released has had small fix's to it, but it seemed time was put in over quality. But like others I want to see Kienai's as I know their subs tend to be easier for me to understand everything that's happening in the movie.
Well, thanks for the uploader. I don’t know how you made it but for this size, it’s pretty good and really clear. So kudos to the person who encode this video. I don’t know why there’s so many rude people in here but I’ve been following Kienai’s group from 2012, and I can say their work was not better than any other. Good yes but the best…well, i doubt it. If you ask me, there’s one who did it better, it’s yunnie-chan, but sadly she’s already long gone :( I’m not hating their work, in fact I’ll download their release too whenever that is, because there’s a rumor, it will be up soon. 98% done, right? ;) Anyway my review for this subs, this is way better than any other release that I have seen so far. Thumbs up for this release. I can say that because I have download like more than 6 release of this movie so yes, I’m pretty sure about that. And oh, download a new one on her/his original blog, it’s better than this one.
Personally, I'm grateful for any work that people put into this; we learn from our mistakes and this is unpaid work done for love? Yeah? I have tried enough subtitling 'improving' to know how hard it is. Japanese is a particularly intransigent language to translate as the contexts are so different. BTW - I love the wordplays in the Conan series! And the omnipresent cultural references, I'm always stopping and looking up people and places mentioned...
thx currysoda, chibi and currysoda's gramma. This is good.
I finished watching it. The translation, technical terms/jargons are pretty much on point. No idea why the other fansub group/supporters feel the need to attack this upload.
Omni: I tell you why. Because it is not their work, so they think that it is bad. This represents the whole nyaa site these dayas. Always complaining... I watched also, and yes, this is a pretty good job on the subs.
thanks for the subs
Thank you for all the comments. Please do check the links I posted, since it has better grammar and translation ^^" I agreed to myself that my translation is not the best. I never did any translation for anime, manga, or movie before. I did this DC movie 22 translation purely because I saw the .... very robotic and awkward sub on kissanime, which pushed me into making a sub that's UNDERSTANDABLE for DC's lovers to watch. I do not do this because I want to compete with any other groups for quality, speed or .... idk... And I agree, Yunnie made the best translation! I would recommend everyone to watch other sub groups that you are familiar with when it comes out. Sub groups have a better system to this than mine ^^" I did this alone (90%) with two Japanese friends...
@Bara Ettie: Your comment is greatly appreciated! I cannot agree more. I am not experience in timing and translating and basically doing everything by myself like this... It could have been better! I will try to improve in my future translation projects :D This is my first time afterall, and I'm glad to received such a kind comment and advice from you!
