The items in the zip file are the direct rips from the youtube channel. ***PLEASE READ*** NOTES ABOUT VIDEO QUALITY: -there are some episodes that have a bit of static here and there. Nothing too major or disruptive, though. -some of the videos I've uploaded are 5 episodes long and condensed into a 2-hour chunk (I'm not really tech savvy enough to split them up in some video editing software that would probs end up leaving a watermark anyway). -between-show animations/shorts from the network are shown at the beginnings and ends of some episodes. -some episodes may have a portion of the opening/ending themes cut off. -episode 15 contains what I'm pretty sure is just a flashback to a scene from episode 14. It feels sorta out of place and there's not much of an introduction to it, but I'm pretty sure that's all it could be, because it doesn't seem like it's an issue with the recording itself. I've finally got the time to get this childhood favourite of mine uploaded. Thanks to everyone who approached me through The Lost Media Wiki, Twitter, and MyAnimeList over the past couple years to express their interest in seeing this show. I'm so sorry it's taken this long!! Just a bit of background info about it, what it means to me, and how I was able to obtain it: This, of course, is the Canadian dub of the show that aired in 1993 (kinda fitting that I ended up uploading the first episode on Canada Day :P). Episodes of the original Japanese version, as well as some of the dubs in other languages, are available online, but I have yet to find any other copies of this version existing on the internet. This was the first anime I ever watched as a child, but at the time, I didn't realize it was anime. After my brother and I were born in the 90s, my parents would watch this with us when we were little, on the Access Network in Calgary, Canada. They loved watching it so much when it first aired that they knew if the network ended up broadcasting it again, they'd have to record it so that my brother and I could have a copy to enjoy as we grew up! Well, my mom worked tirelessly to get every episode recorded as the entire series was aired multiple times over the next few years. Of course, not every episode is going to have perfect quality. These episodes WERE recorded on rabbit ear antennas, after all (Google what those are if you have no idea :P). But on the plus side, the Access Network had no commercials, so woo! But yeah, this was my childhood show growing up. It was the one I watched and rewatched more times than I can remember, and I was kind of disappointed when I searched the internet years later to find out if anyone else had seen it and found nothing. Anime database websites mentioned its existence, but I was shocked to discover that it was incredibly hard to come by and almost no one had seen it. I later came across a Reddit post made by someone related to the author of the book this was based on, who said they were looking for a copy. Someone in the Reddit thread had even tracked down a post I'd made on MAL years ago about how I owned a copy, so I imagine the majority of people that approached me were sent over from that Reddit post. There were soooo many people saying they remembered it and wanted to watch it. So I decided I HAD to find someone who could make me a DVD copy, since I really wanted everyone else to be able to experience it too! :) My family actually did own a VHS to DVD converter ages ago that we used to make a DVD copy for ourselves way back, but we lent it to some of my younger cousins who we knew would like watching it, and they ended up misplacing it, lol. And we never really bothered making another copy after that, since we could still watch our original copy through our VCR. But then our converter got fried in a thunderstorm and we never got around to replacing it to make another DVD copy. So anyway, yeah, that's the history of how this was all able to come together. Murphy, Jackie, her family and their friends go on many adventures involving wild animals, poachers and more. But when Jackie's father is recalled to England, Jackie must leave her life in Africa behind. However, before she can go, Jackie, Murphy and Tembo, a friend of Jackie's father, go on one last adventure: they must cross the dangerous savannah to escape the poachers and corrupt police officers chasing them.
