Thanks for everything you've done this season and with the timely releases! I now see you've been doing a lot of other projects, will be looking into those. Godspeed my dutch brother.
What's the point of making this 60FPS when the source was 23/ 24FPS? This wouldn't be true 60FPS! Same with making it X265, the source was X264 meaning the quality would obviously be worse. No hating just curious as to why you did these alterations.
@VON-Encodes Interpolation will make fast moving screens look smoother by adding extra filler frames in between.
where you would see stutter due to lack of frames. (for example look at the ending of overlord vs the original version) It doesn't alter the original 24fps animations though (in most situations). x265 just saves way more space in comparison to x264, more than half in most videos. If I would encode it in x264 I would normally get above 1gb in file size with the same quality as if I would encode with x265, x265 requires way more computing power though for encoding and a bit more for playback.
IIRC, if source is lossy then encoding quality can and probably will be worse. Now, is it noticable and worth the difference in size is different story. I got hooked quite some time ago on 60fps videos and my eyesight is shit so the fact that it is 60fps is more important for me than loss of quality (which I don't even notice). Size is, personally, irrelevant, I don't currently have 9 TBs worth of external HDDs for nothing. :D
I'm keeping those versions on seed indefinitely (compared to usual 10x for torrents from Nyaa) as a support of 60fps.. :]
For some reason or another I couldn't make SVP4 work with either of Overlord's episodes regardless of where I got them so this was really nice suprise when I saw it. Thanks.
