I finally had time to watch this show, so I fixed some mistakes while watching. The sub is probably far from perfect, but much more watchable than the old release. Thanks to everyone using my release! Also thanks to everyone working on this release. Like with every of my releases, you are free to use it as a base and polish it up a bit. ![GirlishMemes](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/246368272327507979/379733026428551170/vJZbDfJ.jpg)

If the torrent's green, the subs will be meme.
>Anonymous When will this meme stop?
thanks for the meme. appreciate it
Thanks, eXmendiC
I don't know what to say...
"Opus" Quickest way to spot the GNU Arch fags.
Can we get a meme tag instead of trusted? like purple or something :wink, wink:
Are the "some fixes" small enough for a patch for the MEMEster one? I've delayed starting this show so long that I'll have downloaded it 3 times now!
> **OPUS** ## ? ....?
Glad to see my legacy still lives on :^)
>what is OPUS The thinking man's audio codec
I dunno what OPUS is, but if its quality is better than AAC without the bloat of FLAC and my player can play it then OPUS it is!
>I dunno what OPUS is, but if its quality is better than AAC without the bloat of FLAC and my player can play it then OPUS it is! Opus is a royalty-free audio codec developed by xiph, combining technologies from both SILK and their now assimilated CELT codec. Originally, they targeted it at teleconferencing and livestreaming, but it ended up being the most efficient audio codec in the world, beating AAC even in non-timecritical applications. With each new libopus version, [the encoder is only getting better, achieving full-band speech at bitrates as low as 16 kbit/s by now](https://people.xiph.org/~jm/opus/opus-1.2/), and even the initial release being ["very close to" transparent at a VBR target of 128 kbit/s](http://wiki.hydrogenaud.io/index.php?title=Opus#Music_encoding_quality). Most importantly, it has gained widespread adoption in software due to being a mandatory part of the WebRTC spec and unencumbered by patents, with even proprietary software heavyweights such as Microsoft implementing Opus support into Edge. Its decoders are also efficient, with libopus (the BSD licensed reference encoder and decoder) scaling down to shitty rpi ARM cores and FFmpeg's internal decoder squeezing additional performance out of x86. Though, the biggest reason as to why people use it is likely that you don't need to have Windows with some special needs Apple encoder, but can just use the reference libopus encoder on any platform it works on. Okay that's enough freetard shilling for today.

@pippip Actually, yes. But I'm too lazy to make patches and don't have the old version anymore. You can get the scripts on Animetosho: https://animetosho.org/view/scum-girlish-number-bd-720p-hi444pp-opus.n1070399 (All Attachments) and mux them into MEMEster.

tl;dr about OPUS: it's better than any other lossy codec and open-source. The only decent alternative is AAC with qaac as the encoder. However, the only advatages are the tvbr mode and better hardware support. The problem with AAC is that you can't tell which encoder someone used (except that person mentions it somewhere). AAC can be garbage with the wrong encoder.
So, use AAC-LC and then write that you used the qaac encoder and the tvbr setting in the track description. By spending a couple seconds doing that all your "downsides" are addressed and the files will actually work on far more devices which should be a very important factor. Not to mention Opus has some **real** downsides like how it can only do 48khz and your argument for quality only holds up if you compare them at low bitrates which you shouldn't really be using anyway. Why ruin a good release with this meme codec? I'll wait for something not using opus or try and find the source to re-encode the audio.

\>and the files will actually work on far more devices which should be a very important factor it's 4:4:4 which also has a shit support, so it doesn't really matter \>like how it can only do 48khz doesn't matter for anime \>Why ruin a good release with this meme codec Because I prefer open source solutions any time. Also, this isn't my first release with Opus \>I’ll wait for something not using opus You won't find anything looking better than this. However, muxing any audio should work (maybe you have to shift the audio 24 frames for some episodes)
Does this release have 'proper' typeset?

It is impossible to tell on this site whether there is a real problem or if people are just bitching about something that is not a big deal at all. I guess I'm gonna download it and see for myself
