By the way, this is the last episode that will be using Netflix as a source. We'll be using Leopard-Raws starting from 12, which has objectively better color and ~~audio quality~~ (edit: ok maybe not audio). Netflix may have higher average bitrate, but it's not worth the tradeoff of having everything tinted blue.
be careful of re-encoded AAC audio though
except leopard-raws *is* worse, only tv audio is better than netflix audio
the issue i somehow had with leopard-raws starting sometime ago they don't save the original AAC audio quality during the encoding process due to lacking something like this https://github.com/AzraelNewtype/audiocutter heck i bet they're not even aware of this https://github.com/wiiaboo/vfr with that said this is a rather decent compromise considering there's an immense lack of actual resources in just about everywhere
@Nala_Alan: this show is 96kbps AC3 on Netflix, so it's not much bettter. What do you suppose I do if I have no other resources? I'd appreciate any advice. I was unaware of Leopard's audio transcoding, though, so thanks for telling me about that. Explains the clipping I heard in 12...
if i gave any advice to you guys, it would be counterproductive to your release methods if there is any are you sure you want to listen to it?
Does Ohys keep the original AAC audio quality?
>Does Ohys keep the original AAC audio quality? probably not
no, it's 128kbps AC3 on netflix according to fumei raws just ask him to use tv audio in next releases and video is obviously better in nf version, tho i don't watch the show so idk if the colors are off, if they are you can get him to filter i'm pretty sure
all right first of all, to excuse a lack of decent sources, your next releases must contain the .ass file plus the "Font Pack" used for said .ass file and literally nothing else beyond that this will save all the bandwidth needed to download a single episode, which means that whoever downloaded that release won't have to wait an insanely long time just to watch a single subbed episode from there on, he/she will have much liberty in deciding which raw should he/she watch the episode with the subs on plus the fonts in case they are installed in some fonts folder of their respective OS systems rather than have an all-in-one convenient file in which the episode is played on the fly with everything displayed correctly if necessary, they can also mux all these subs and fonts into the raw they have chosen to watch the episode with by themselves through mkvtoolnix that's my best shot at an advice so far, tell me what you think about this then once you guys release the next episode i need to hear if everything went well after that
See, the entire problem here is that nobody is capping for Fumei anymore, so we're left to our own devices. We have no choice but to switch to other raws—either our own Netflix rips (which are .mp4s, so probably not a good idea) or Leopard/Ohys... we're kinda fucked no matter what. Maybe I'll mux Leopard video with Netflix audio. Anon, we're already doing that via the MEGA link in the descriptions. I appreciate you trying to help, though.
in that case you can simply use what you have as "raws" in secret once you're ready with everything else regarding the next episode, forget about "muxing" these raws for the next release - simply assume they are not important in the end and stick with the prod >Anon, we’re already doing that via the MEGA link in the descriptions. I appreciate you trying to help, though. oh okay then shame i have to wait for god-knows-how-long just to get into the next file just as i've already downloaded a single file already though - MEGA was quite painful to download a bunch of files from in my experience ok i guess i'll just stop here
uh, Fumei does both have untouched Netflix rips and untouched TV rips... btw. don't listen to whatever anonbaiter says, he's a troll
gotta turn on my camo suit

>no, it’s 128kbps AC3 on netflix according to fumei raws I believe that this 128kbps is likely transcoded, as all Netflix is showing me as available audio sources is 64 and 96 kbps. I will re-check though. >have to wait for god-knows-how-long just to get into the next file That only happens if you download many gigabytes at once, and even then with a free account I only managed to hit the limit twice - while downloading Gekko Kamen disc images, and that has a hell of a lot of episodes. But I'm aware that the Mega webapp itself does not work well for everyone, so if it'll become a problem we may upload softsubs somewhere else too. >tho i don’t watch the show so idk if the colors are off, if they are you can get him to filter They are, though we have literally no idea why is Netflix tinting everything blue. It's not terrible or anything, but if you compare Netflix and TV or China webrips it's noticeable that TV/Chinarips have more contrast and accuracy. Filters can't losslessly fix that. Again though, the bigger problem with using Netflix is that for the moment there are no good caps that Fumei or we could use. In theory I have transcoded 1080p caps for the next episodes, but they are a little bit-starved compared to untouched rips, not without some banding and perhaps not worth bothering with. If we had proper caps we would have likely kept going as is.
@Anonyneko ve a Leopard-Raw, si no les gusta que esperen a la salida de los BD. Creo que es lo mejor por ahora, y el único que ofrece una raw decente que no sea web.
Netflix audio aren't re-encoded or transcoded. They have 2 stream type, HE-AAC (64/96 kb/s) and E-AC3 (128 kb/s) Talking about video, sometimes Netflix having issues with their video [just like this](https://diff.pics/w6ADGbYB9Osv/1). EDIT : This is not the first time they having this issue. Obviously true if the TV broadcast version has correct color, but none of HDTV raws are good. Some artifacts and blocking (or even noises) may destroy its video quality, just like Tokyo MX. Still, WOWOW and BS11 which is have better quality is also not necessarily good.
