Part 1 (1-6): [#997320](https://nyaa.si/view/997320) Part 2 (7-12): [#1002398](https://nyaa.si/view/1002398) Part 3 (13-18): [#1009867](https://nyaa.si/view/1009867) Part 4 (19-24) [#1012798](https://nyaa.si/view/1012798) Part 5 (25-29) [#1023220](https://nyaa.si/view/1023220) Part 6 (30-34) [#1034403](https://nyaa.si/view/1034403) **Updates for part 7:** 1. These are based on the Xbox Live downloads that used unreleased Level Set footage. 2. English/Johnson track reverts to the DHD source for this and future releases. 3. I will be taking a mini-hiatus while I work with the R2J Dragon Box footage which will form the basis of future releases. A batch of all the Level Set episodes will be release sometime in the nearer future with some v2s. 4. If anyone has a source for Dragon Box 5.1 English audio, I would appreciate it. I only own the first DBox which ends at episode 42. All 5.1 tracks I've found are from the Orange Bricks or "Season" Blu-Rays and have the Mark Menza opening instead of the Japanese one. *** *I’m currently creating what I consider to be a “perfect” version of DBZ by combining the best quality video with the most American English dub options available, for both nostalgic and completionist purposes. I figured I’d share what I’ve done so far with others. Most elements from this torrent come from other uploaders as mentioned below. This is a WIP - I can share more episodes once I complete them.* **Video:** English Level Set WEB-DLs - these Blu-Rays feature proper 4:3 aspect ratio and solid remastering, unlike the crappier season sets. Unfortunately this source stops at episode ~~34~~ 39, so if I continue past that point, I’ll switch to Dragon Boxes. (source: Arian & DragoonClawNZ) **Audio - 4 tracks:** Japanese Mono Broadcast Audio (source: Team-Mirolo/WinxBloom1980) English 5.1 2005 FUNimation Remastered Dub w/ Kikuchi score (source: my own Dragon Box) English 2.0 2005 FUNimation Remastered Dub w/ Nathan Johnson replacement score (source: DHD) English 2.0 1997 Saban/Ocean Dub (source: ISOs provided by omar1st with my own edits to sync*) Those of you familiar with the original Ocean Studios dub of DBZ know that it was rather heavily edited (the first 53 English episodes correspond to the first 67 original episodes), and so I have attempted to re-sync the audio to the best of my ability, filling in the gaps with the FUNi dub. Comments and feedback are welcome. *Thanks to Deli295 for his HQ rip of the "Rock the Dragon" Theme. [MediaInfo](https://pastebin.com/iwCemT3R)

masterful as always. You're helping me relive my childhood with these and I cannot thank you enough. I hope the hiatus you take isn't too long but greatness can't be rushed. Can't wait til the next one and thanks again!
Will the Dragon Box encodes have reconstructed English title cards or keep the Japanese ones?
Here is your 5.1 Audio https://kametsu.com/topic/52369-mega-dragon-ball-z-1989-dvd480p8bitdual-audio-ac3-51-truehd-51/
Thanks, iKaos!!! :D
Hey, first of all, I just want to say that I absolutely love your work. I love that I can watch DBZ in the highest quality possible with some nostalgic Ocean dub which I have a soft spot for. However, I was comparing this level set with the one Winbloom1980 released (https://nyaa.pantsu.cat/view/947761) and I noticed that your level set has less saturated color and is brighter than the winxbloom set. So I compared it to dragonbox and I noticed that your level set was a bit less saturated and is brighter compared to that too. Again, not a complaint, I love what you're doing, but it was a difference that I noticed. Some other differences are that your level sets have more bit rate and has retained the grain (probably a positive for most people). I haven't examined all the episodes, but it's only in this pack, episodes 35-39, that I really noticed it. Here's an image album comparing them: https://imgur.com/a/fb7AKj9

@LTCProductions I'm just going to keep the Japanese ones. The way I see it, that's the original, and I don't want to mess with it. @boobychan You've actually brought up something that I've noticed since releasing these particular episodes is that I'm not super happy with the quality of the source (it's upscaled 720p that's apparently been fiddled with) and that I'll probably re-do these for the Level Set batch with the Grupa Mirai source that I used for 1-29. I do actually prefer there to be some grain (as it's inherent to the film stock the show was made on) but I think there is excess grain in the raw Level Set footage that actually hurts the quality of the image. Nothing has looked as good to me as the Grupa Mirai encodes, even though they have basically no grain. The higher bitrate is and will remain intentional. Thank you for the feedback. I've yet to run tests on the Dragon Box footage for 40+ (been out of town, busy, etc) but I know I won't be touching the colors/contrast/saturation or grain at all. I'm not interested in nor do I have the time for modifying the original source for 250 episodes.
@boobychan I haven't kept track on the various encodes used for Level 35-39 here but if it's the one myself and Arian did, I think the difference in saturation may have been an accident on my part when it was encoded in Rec.601 (SD) instead of 709 (HD). At the time it didn't concern me much, though I only remember it affecting #35 while 36-39 should match the raw files as I found out the cause then. The source files on the Xbox video release wasn't exactly the greatest quality to begin with, Arian did a 2nd capture uncompressed recently but I didn't notice any difference to the first he did via HD capture then, so it wasn't worth doing a v2 of. So whatever was in our first release is pretty much the best it'll look.
