**[About]** *Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You!* (劇場版 ポケットモンスター キミにきめた！ Gekijō-ban Poketto Monsutā Kimi ni kimeta!) is the 20th Pokemon movie, released in 2017, directed by Kunihiko Yuyama, written by Shōji Yonemura, and produced by OLM. This is the first film in the Sun and Moon generation and the first reboot film in the anime film series. It sets up an alternate continuity to the main series and acts as a loose retelling of the original Kanto League saga of the series/show and the 1st Pokémon film, released to commemorate the anime's twentieth anniversary. @IndoMEME It has both English and Japanese audio. @Ono Sorry, this is the only raw file I was given to work with and it is just 720p.

"dedicated to providing as highly accurate translations as possible" Seeing as though you included Japanese audio and English subs based on the Japanese audio, you should have titled the movie by its Japanese name. When I search for this series (Because I'm watching it in Japanese), I use the Japanese name Pocket Monsters. I searched Pocket Monsters and did not find this torrent. This is after I originally found it from searching on the homepage on what new stuff was added. So basically, luck. I'm not saying you should leave out the English title, just add them both so they can be found by both Japanese and English watchers. I'm sure there's a lot of people other than me who only search by using the Japanese title. Just saying. Thanks for the subbing this.

@KH91 Sorry, I'm not really involved in the Pokemon fandom so I don't know what's searched for usually, in fact this was the first Pokemon thing I've watched since I was young. ;) Our translator did this as a little side project and we just wanted to share the subs. I edited the title accordingly. Hopefully that should help those searching both names. @Porenta thank you! Someone sent me this a long time ago and I had no clue what the source was. I edited the description to include it. ^^

@hikarisama Now that you do know where the video came from, I should point out that Puto did a 1080p encode as well. So unless something in this release is hardsubbed (I wouldn't know, I haven't gotten around to looking at it yet), doing a 1080p release should be no problem at all.

If I may ask, why are the attack names written in all caps? It's a bit distracting. And while I see that you're not using the official English attack names and that's fine and all, I do think "Flamethrow" instead of "Flamethrower" is kind of eh... But aside from that and a few issues with the ending theme translation, this release gets my Fellow PokéSubber Seal of Approval.

@Lord_starfish Just to quote our translator: "I just write them in all caps because its exciting and b.) because the Japanese word for flamethrower is "火炎放射器" where the last character means "tool" (ie the -er in english) while the attack name is just 火炎放射" Hope that answers your questions!

Is it same as puto encode? Is video original Japanese? Also can you please add your releases to Anidb? Makes easier to track? Also hope you kept original Japanese names instead of converting to English which is very nonsensical at best, also wish you could've kept out dub altogether or provided separate file for those who want it

I just wanted to say that despite the explanation, Flamethrow, while not being technically wrong (in fact, literally it would be Flame Emission), it would be better to go with the official localization of the attacks. It's the name fans are used to, after up to 15 years of playing the games. It ticked me off how in the release for the second movie, the group decided to use the Japanese name for the pokémon. It just loses relatability. I realize I'm super late on this and that it won't be fixed because no one cares, but yeah.

Ok, now I actually watched it. I'm triggered in the first five seconds when you decide to use Japanese names for pokémon and make new translations for the attacks. Why? Did you even play the games? This is poor fanservice.
