"firing an assault rifle from 100 meters would result in missed shots" fucking bullshit! Even if you're firing in full auto you should have an easy time hitting your target. I've fired the M4A1 Carbine with nothing but iron sights and I've been able to knock out targets 300 meters away with my non-dominant eye, in prone, kneeling and standing positions. It's even easier with red dot CCO which is basically like sauron's eye. You could knock out targets 100 meters away while doing a headstand.

Maybe they meant people who never had any shooting practice/training?

I was able to head shot moving targets 300+ m away in IGI with AK47. In a military class at high school we had a shooting training (only once) and I missed all my bullets. The target was 100 m away and I didn't notice where I hit. Games, animes, and reality shouldn't be mixed. BTW, this SAO was by far more enjoyable than previous seasons and in fact a chibi girl + giant comrade is a nice duo. Try enjoy the show "normally". :p

GGO got bloom on their guns tho. Lower one heartbeat more accurate. also prediction lines that help dodge bullets.... or (slice them) give time to take cover lol.
