So..... same subs on a worse video source. For what purpose. Also, don't use someone else's tag without permission.
>DmonHiro: >So… same subs on a worse video source. For what purpose. Also, don’t use someone else’s tag without permission. "Tags" are only recognized if they are attached to a known group with some sort of consistent form of communication. As far as I know there have been potentially dozens of people using this "tag" over time, there is no way to know as none of them have an account or have otherwise made any attempt to "claim" the "tag" by associating it with some sort of consistent means of establishing ownership. Even if the above wasn't the case, it says right on the rules page >or make it extremely clear to everyone that you are the one responsible for the upload. Adding another tag makes it "extremely clear" to me. Do not try to enforce rules when you are not a moderator.
Odd, since I once did the same thing with tags and got told by a moderator to stop doing that. To each his own, I guess.
Was it the tag "[Anon]"? I am only speaking about this one tag right now. Anything else is another matter that I have not looked into.
No, it was not [anon]. You have a good point though. This particular tag has been used by many others in the past. Sorry.
This "tag" just happens to be something of special case, normally we would not permit the usage of any established/known/"owned" tag without permission or making it extremely clear that it isn't "official".
@Gobliph , the answer to your "Why?" is probably the same as why HorribleSubs does 1080p , 720p and 480p , with 720p being the most popular download . Some people want a balance of quality and space and , hey , it is just a cartoon that might get watched once and then rarely/infrequently IF the file gets kept .
To answer DmonHiro's remark about same subs on a worse video source, While I was waiting for [anon]'s release to be put on the IRC bot, I heard that Commie is no longer providing raws for Pretty Cure. And I heard rumors that the raw that [anon] used instead has really bad artifacting. Kimiko put [anon]'s subs on Leopard's raw and asked if there's any interest in seeing a torrent of that. I'm the one who asked for it to be available to all.
No more CommieRaws? I did not know. I withdraw my question.
Sadly, but yes, no more CommieRaws
Yeah, Leopard's raws weren't out yet when Anon released, so that's probably the only reason why Anon used other raws. In any case this release is objectively better so there's no need to argue.
I wouldn't say it's much better. It's bitstarved.
It's not better. One thing you have to understand is that the source is inherenlty awful. TV broadcasting still uses MPEG2, so a lot of artifacting is just inevitable on high-movement scenes no matter what you do.
Yeah, this raw was actually trash.
what the actual fuck
