Crunchyroll has picked up the series for later this spring.

Makes me wonder because of this from earlier.: Crunchyroll announced that it will stream all of the above series except Tokyo Ghoul:re and Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2202

“Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2202 - Coming Later This Spring, Release TBA” Half the time ANN does not pay attention when they write stuff.

Another strange part is on Nick’s Picks on CR at t he top they don’t list it. And when you scan down they have descriptions for everything but 2202 even though there’s a picture.

Seeing as how nothing has been pinned out yet looks like they will update info when they work out the streaming rights for it with CR and Funi. The funi site only has “The crew of the Space Battleship Yamato will stop at nothing to save humanity as they travel across the galaxy through alien enemy lines.” on their dub page for this seasons shows. Unlike 2199 they will have to find a translator for these since Voyager would not let them provide subs for the 2202 sets.

Not to mention that Voyager never actually finished the full release of 2199(Luckily I had bought the 2199 Blu-Rays directly from Japan as they came out), which is why Funi picked it up. Did Voyager actually have the rights to 2202?
We’ll see if we continue releasing based on what Funi says they’re going to do. I mean basically if they’re going to release a subtitled version there’s no reason to continue our work. :(

Screw Funi. Do an underground release of 2202 if you have to.

Voyager was on the production committee for 2202. The funimation dub page updated the info some what for the series with a new summary. “Three years after the events of Space Battleship Yamato 2199, the Yamato and its crew undertake a new mission for the good of mankind.” Funi picked it up because they have a relationship with bandai visual, not because of something that voyager was a part of. If anything it was a package deal for some other show they had or want given their piss-poor treatment of the show at cons. Like said they had used the bandai subs instead of doing their own subs because bandai made them not voyager.

Bandai probably tossed it in as a deal for more Code Geass.

And CR started 2202 today. Still waiting on Funi. “Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2202 Episode 1 – AD 2202 – Revive, Space Battleship Yamato”

Funi dub is up for now, might want to watch it before their server gets overloaded from people watching that bad DxD dub.

Looks like our job is done then. I’ll just do my own private version then.

Can keep going, unless it is your policy. it will take them months to get to episode 14 which is why they are doing it now so it does not interfere with the home releases overlapping. They will not even be up to episode 14 until around August. Just gonna do the CR subs for myself since is a waste of time posting the official subs here.

I might continue. We’ll see once I get to the point of being done with 15-18.

Won’t be until June 22, 2018 if you want to re watch the dub until then.

Just awaiting my translator now. I sent him my standard DVD versions on Friday. I never rush him. Real life can get in the way like on the last volume. So please be patient.
