Why bother making a BD remux when you don't convert the PCM track to FLAC? I can understand not redoing a TrueHD or DTSMA track but compressing PCM to FLAC would painlessly save some precious bandwidth.

@nAnoMarV description updated with screenshots! @godblessadolfhitler My apologies. I'm still very new to the BD muxing scene. I didn't realize there was that much of a size difference between FLAC and PCM. I will remember that for the future though, thanks!

Yeah, encoding to FLAC roughly halves the size and causes no loss in quality. No reason not to.

JP or US blu-ray? Regardless, both editions are upscales of the DVD material afaik.

@Zastin a little bit of this a little bit of that. My torrents are specifically catered to people for which size is not a concern and absolutely uncompressed is ideal - the closest thing you can get to the original BDMV raws as possible @cN3rd JP bluray IIRC.

@weiss, you're missing the point. although the video stream itself is 1920x1080, the video itself is letterboxed (black borders around the actual frame). Also, IIRC, this is a digital (and filtered) upscale from the dvd.

Flac or PCM, who cares. You're talking about saving around ~700MB (150 minutes of stereo PCM clocks in at about 1.5 GB) off a 55 gig download. You're already downloading an HD upscale of a non-HD source so I doubt that you actually care all that much about saving bandwidth.
