In nyaa 'English translated' means subs.
Eng 'dub' means spoken english.
90% of anime fans like the japanese voice because the 'character' of the person becomes different when voiced by a Western person. Try it for a little while and you will know.
Subs are a bit crap on this. Taking a bit too much freedom with the word choices when someone says oni-san or hai. And it keeps getting Mori's name wrong, saying Mort instead.
Haven't watched Yamato 2199 in English, nor did I finish watching this subbed either. I watched the compilation movie then the original story movie, both in Japanese. Pretty sweet too.
