Thanks to my friend **_applqpak_** for editing the offical sub and a special thanks to **_@FrostyFlame_** for giving me the official sub from Zanros release. I like Anime and learning the stuff like aegisub and this was my first project. I got a nice feedback so I continued it. So thank you guys. Did I say "I am not gonna do a 1080p" well I lied ;-) Retimed the subtitle using Aegisub, removed any scene bleed, flicker and frame changes and just a few edits only in **_Hi10 Kaiji_**. Converted the English and Japanese audio to [FLAC](https://xiph.org/flac/download.html) level 8 to have the good quality under affordable size. Retimed using Audacity. Added CRC32. Please do watch this masterpiece movie and tell how it is. As you can see from last 2 SC I **_rectified_** the misunderstanding in the sub(Resulting the sub having **_shit subs name_** ). Well as I was editing the official sub, Mezashite released their sub so there was no reason to go any further and I dropped the editing. Such a professional release ^_^ Still I included the official sub for anyone who is interested. **_Warning_** I converted the English CC to srt and edited any inconsistencies but it may not be perfect(I am sure I did a good job and make sure there isn't any errors). And anyone who thinks CC sucks let me remind you it is included for the people who have bad hearing for any reason, so please respect that and don't bad mouth about it. And this my final release on this series. So grab this, it contains all the subs Official+Fan subs and a bonus [CC] subs with English audio synced. **_Thanks to Ka44tsUU we got a mirror mega link on [nanda.to](https://nanda.to/topic/374-gsk_kun-sayonara-no-asa-ni-yakusoku-no-hana-o-kazaroumaquia-when-the-promised-flower-blooms-2018-bdrip-1080p-hi444pp-dual-audio-flac-torrentddl/) so thank you Ka44tsUU_** Feel free to leave your comments. Please consider seeding it at least a ratio of 1. Thank you.

My only complaint albeit a minor one is that the chapters aren't really named properly: Menu 00:00:00.000 : ja:1 00:05:48.473 : ja:2 00:12:58.861 : ja:3 00:16:44.170 : ja:4 00:23:16.770 : ja:5 00:32:22.941 : ja:6 00:42:35.678 : ja:7 00:48:53.848 : ja:8 00:57:57.432 : ja:9 01:10:14.419 : ja:10 01:14:20.956 : ja:11 01:23:31.840 : ja:12 01:28:38.396 : ja:13 01:34:28.037 : ja:14 01:39:32.300 : ja:15 01:41:58.195 : ja:16 01:49:19.386 : ja:17 01:54:35.869 : ja:18 Oh, and Mezashite's font size is a bit small (70 could be 78 for example). Thanks though, friend.

@Astral should have said it on 720p release, now can't do anything ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
So no more changes? I'll download and seed this then.

gsk_ (uploader)

User
@Hifumi_l pretty much no. Thanks for the seeding, please be patient my upload speed sucks.
About the chapters not named properly, it's not problem. Anyone can use MKVToolNix to edit the chapters without change anything on the video or without need to extract the chapters to edit them.

gsk_ (uploader)

User
@kamyne i was aware that chapters are not named properly but in all my releases no one pointed it so I thought it is fine for everyone. Looks like some people do care. Well I already made my final edit so no turning back now ? If the chapters is missing I would have corrected it but if it is just a name then NO I won't rectify it or patch it bcz it doesn't effect the viewing experience in the slightest.
@gsk_ what do you personally recommend? Hi10-kaiji or mezashite?

gsk_ (uploader)

User
@Yukino Mezhasite subs are professional sub where as hi10 is made by common folk, so if you are good in English then mezhasite will definitely please you, on other hand you want a commonly used English then Hi10 is good. You can refer my SC red one is mezhasite and white one is hi10. Despite->even though which one did you like?
@kamyne Yes, because editing chapters should be left up to the viewers. Solid advice.
Nice meme, Kamyne. Honestly, for minor issues like this you can just make an xdelta patch. :^)

gsk_ (uploader)

User
@Astral should I make a patch for it? I honestly don't see any reason to do it for such a minor error? If yes how do you want the chapter names? I was thinking using chapters one two....etc prologue and epilogue
So far so good but only one issue. This is the only video that lags and stutters sound when I screencast it on a TV, Maybe because 10GB file size is too big.

gsk_ (uploader)

User
@hifumi_l It's not the size what causing it, it is the codec. This is X264 10 bit it is processor intensive so you can't run it on TV using screen cast. You have to use a hdmi and connect it to a desktop or laptop.
> Converted the English and Japanese audio to FLAC level 8 to have the maximum quality Minor nitpick here that may or may not be relevant to you: FLAC compression level doesn't actually affect the output 'quality'. Regardless of the compression level that is chosen, FLAC will always decode into the exact uncompressed audio track. Really the only difference is the filesize, which might be a few percent smaller at level 8 versus level 0. If you really wanted to retain the **best** quality, you should have encoded this at FLAC 24bit instead of 16bit, considering the source bitdepth for both the English and Japanese audio is 24.

User
@scyrous Is my converted audio bad? I am learning things as I go.
@gsk_ I don't mind walking you through some of it. LightArrowsEXE#0476 on Discord.

gsk_ (uploader)

User
After talking to @LightArrowsEXE I found it is better to stick with FLAC 16 bit and rest assured quality is good. I added Mega link as well
I never said anything about it being bad. If you want ''good quality'' you might as well go with qAAC or OPUS. Your description specifically states ''maximum quality'', in which case you should have encoded it at 24bit (not 16), as I said before.
@Scryous which I also pointed out. I said that going with 16bit is generally a good idea, but if your source is 24bit it’s not a bad idea to go with that.

gsk_ (uploader)

User
@scyrous @lightarrowsexe I didn't say you're wrong but I thought I might clear any doubts if people have any. If size goes whey too much then I don't think it's good to go for 24bit. I will edit description. Thanks both of you and sorry if my is misleading
This is good! Thanks for this!!!

@somaHeir Enjoy. Next release Beatrice raw 720p FLAC with UTW+Netflix subs retimed
The main problem with the 10 bits H264 encodes is that they are not watchable on low power devices (hence the problem with the screencast). But, because 10 bits was in the spec of HEVC, every device that can decode HEVC can decode HEVC high10 bits too, including my cheap 100$ Atom-powered server, and my phone. My laptop is just draining battery and lagging while decoding your release (with a Kaby Lake CPU -> i7 7700HQ), but can read 5 4K videos simultaneously in 10 bits HEVC. Otherwise, I think the quality is just perfect. PS : This is not a Hi444 according to MediaInfo, just a regular 4:2:0 (but 4:4:4 is not decoded by anything too, so I'm not complaining, and it's visually really close). PS 2 : If you're against HEVC license and prefer open source codecs, you may want to consider using VP9. It's not the most famous codec on the world, but is on as many devices as HEVC, has around the same efficiency, and supports 10 bits too. PS 3 : There is also AV1, but it's not supported on any device AT ALL. Maybe check it again in 3 years ?
@Arno500 Fansubbers don't particularly care about compatibility. They haven't for decades. As for VP9, that is generally not used due to x264 being so far ahead of it in everything else but very low bitrates (and it's not like people aim for very low filesizes). You should indeed update your title, @gsk_. Your release is not 4:4:4, it's 4:2:0.

Has anyone OCRd the official subs?

gsk_ (uploader)

User
@Arno500 Let me be clear, I don't know a thing regarding encoding so I haven't touched the video at all. I just converted the DTS audio to FLAC. Are you sure it's not working? I was able to run it in my old laptop with i3 @2GHZ using mpv player. @LightArrowsEXE That's what hi444 means! I didn't know that. I always wondered why some has that title, will edit it thanks for pointing out.(Though I don't know what that implies) @H94 Yes by applpaqk and zanros used it. Though there were few typos, and all retail subs suffer from flickering, scene bleeds, Key frame changes so I was in the process of editing them but Mezhasite released their sub so I dropped the editing. I won't suggest seeing retail subs while you have a better alternative of Mezhasite. Still many think retail subs are good so I included it for them.
444 refers to the [chroma subsampling](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chroma_subsampling).
@LightArrowsEXE Yeah, low file-size is not the goal here. But better quality for the same file size + accelerated video decoding is worth the longer encoding time for these formats.
>Mezhasite subs are professional sub say what
@Arno500 Caring about accelerator video decoding is really up for the encoder to decide. As for video quality, x264 will most likely immensely outperform VP9 at the same filesize regardless, so I don't see why that's added as a point.
@LightArrowsExe : I'm pretty sure you're talking about VP8 (which was the main open opponent of H264). VP9 is the "new" codec, which has arround the same efficiency as HEVC (maybe a bit less efficient though) .You may take a look at this article : https://headjack.io/blog/hevc-vp9-vp10-dalaa-thor-netvc-future-video-codecs/
Hello. I was trying to access the MEGA link you have posted in the description but when I go to the site Nanda.to, it tells me I don't have permission even after I created a user account to try to gain access. Is there something in particular that I have to do? I can see that the site has users from Kametsu, so I'm guessing they are making it harder for people to access the download section because of what happened involving the copyright troll last year.

gsk_ (uploader)

User
@doktorweiss It's Because you need to post at least one post to unlock the download section. Kametsu also has that thing for a long time.
Oh, okay thanks for replying. It was so long ago that I made a Kametsu account, that I don't remember. I really don't leave posts, unless it's to say thanks or to ask a rare question.
