I have a 18 Core CPU laying around, so I think I will use it to lower the file size. If this is helpful, please comment, so I will continue doing this.
Only a few people knows that most anime are mastered at 1600x900p, then upscaled to 1080p (cr. J.C. Staff) So, let me introduced you to my 720p+ encoding, where I encode the anime at 1600x900, which gives both file size and resolution advantage. Also, require less processing power to decode then 1080p. I will try to release this within 1 hour after HorribleSubs Release, so please comment if you want to see this more.

nice meme my dude
That's J.C. Staff, which isn't even related to SAO S3. In the description you said ''most anime''.
edit: sorry but i was told to shut up, can't explain further ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯
I can assure you that ''most anime'' are not native 900p.
if you wanna troll, go to some other site pls thx
@Scyrous Please proof that J.C.Staff is not related to SAO 3. If u can't that's mean ur BAKA and KUSO. and you should stop complaining on others' releases. I have my right to release whatever I want that's not against the rule, and you are not even an admin. You are just another common user.

@noZA_ personal experience. Old Anime like Yu-Gi-Oh 5d's or low budget one look worst than something like Railgun S (from J.C. Staff), which according to that vids is 900p. So I assume that those anime are like 720p. SAO 3 however, is 1080p native from what I can see. Since 720p is for TV standard, and here is not TV, but Web Video, any resolution which gives best result/file size should be use. I think you will miss a lot of detail by watching 1080p native anime in 720p. Hence 900p is sweet spot in my opinion.
@tadams587 29.97,59.94 is for NTSC (US) Broadcast television. 30,60 for YouTube or Web Video. For PAL (Europe) Broadcast, it's 25,50. Finally, film, cinematic look is 23.976, but people call it 24 fps. Hope that's make sense.
@Astral
More importantly comrade where does one less versed in the intricacies of Chinese cartoon production find such a list as you have there? Preferably not in Japanese (there's a reason I'm watching English subtitles in the first place).
I understand - perhaps incorrectly - that the vast majority of currently streaming anime shows are native 720 and most 1080 releases are upscales. With some random exceptions here and there it's largely left as an exercise to the consumer to figure out which ones. Many times I have wished there was a reliable summary somewhere of what shows are being released in which resolutions - currently I rely on the "wisdom" of the comments sections by our fine comrades here on Nyaa. Which as you can imagine is equal parts fun and annoying :|
