First time we've heard him speak. Akita's scope is apparently named the Namahage Scope. Namahage is a kind of demon associated with Akita district. It is associated with masks that people wear at New Year's to scare and amuse children. Shashot makes a reference to Gintama when asked if he can see anything. His reply is that he can't see anything... or tomorrow. This is a reference to Sarutobi Ayame (Sacchan) from Gintama, who used a similar quote when her glasses were broken. The quote became a meme of sorts.
